  • Nightmare
This pellet stove has been a nightmare. It hasn’t worked right from day one. It would smoke U.S. out everytime we started/stopped. One time it smoke the entire house. We could not run it using the thermostat…had to be on high or low. The auger kept jamming and we would have to remove the pellets, turn the auger to unstick it and then put the pellets back in. It has to be cleaned daily which causes you to lose 45 minutes of heating time so the good cools down. Northern Tool will not exchange or replace, only refunds. They do not replace parts, etc. Now we have to wait to have it picked up, then get a refund and find a local replacement…in sub zero weather. Do not waste your money. ... show more

  • Better than expected.
Better than expected. I bought this for my husband's shop. He was skeptical at first, but after it was installed he was really impressed. He started telling all his friends and one of them also ordered a pellet heater.

  • Wish the stove was better
I have a Pelpro 130 . There ok when new 5 years later replaced all the parts ( just got an exhaust fan cause the only thing, that wasn’t replaced was that . I have a bag full of motors extra motherboard , vacuum switch, replaced blower 2x .have to have extra parts cause I learned there is no one day shipping when you depend on this stove to heat your house. To work on this stove is somewhat easy but who wants to work on it.bought a vibrator to un jam the auger . Sometimes work . Now it a small hammer tapping underneath on auger shaft to in stick it works 80 percent so you don’t have to remove the pellets . ... show more

  • Does not last
Bought in October for my elderly parents that live up north. Broke already by January and manufacturer is expecting them to repair it themselves. Ridiculous!

  • I like mine
have had it now for 3 winters. supplements the heat pumps in my poorly insulated 30x40x16 barn and sleeping quarters. it works flawlessly and is nice to sit around on cold nights when the inside temp gets below 60.

  • Replacing Parts less than 90 days in, no ash draw
I bought mine at Menards, on 9/26/25 and yesterday 12/24/25, the electric feeder motor died. So now I am waiting on parts, on a barely 3 month model. This unit is not built to run weeks at a time, !There is NO ash tray! So even with the trim set correctly, ash builds up after 3 or so days and you have to shut it down and cool off and clean. I hate the thermostat!! To keep a consistent burn you either have to have it at low or high, because God forbid you want a constant temp that is in-between, low or high. It will turn on and off to regulate the heat from setting 2-9, problem is because there is no way to dump ashes, the unit will kill itself because of failure to reignite, after the ash builds up. All units are going to have ash, it doesn’t matter, but PelPro doesn’t give you the ability to limit ash buildup up around the ignition. Poor design, I wish I would have done more research. I grew up with a pellet stove that was built in the late, 90’s it was 9 years before we ever replaced a part and had an ash draw, like all units should. If you are only going to use this unit up at a cabin in a garage, it might fit the bill for you. If you want this to heat all winter day-in day-out, I would recommend you go with a better unit or brand. ... show more
