  • Just What You Would Expect From Craftsman
This is just what I expected from a Craftsman product. Reasonable quality for a reasonable price. It's not a high end compressor but neither is the price. The only assembly is 2 screws to put the handle on, which feels insufficient for carrying the weight hanging on 2 small screws self threaded into plastic but it does the job for now. Otherwise plug it in and turn it on. It is oil free which is typical for these compressors, lightweight and maintenance free but it also means it is noisy. It's no fault of the compressor, any oil free compressor is noisy. The size is convenient and portable. It won't take up much space in the garage and can be filled and then tossed into the trunk to go fill up a friends low tire. It's good when used within it's capabilities. It will air up tires, run finishing nailers, hobby paint guns, impacts for short durations (rotating car tires). Any continuous demand air tools (sanders, drills, framing nailers, grinders, cut-off tools) will quickly exhaust the tank and the compressor will not keep up. It has two quick couplers allowing for 2 tools at the same time. Most of us won't need the 2nd but it's there for 2 brad nailers being used at the same time for construction work. The regulator and gauges are fine. The included hose is long enough for most of us and the compressor is portable enough to easily move it closer to the work. No air accessories or attachments are included. It suits my needs and meets my expectations. ... show more

  • Good compressor but a bit expensive
There's absolutely nothing wrong with this compressor. It's well-made and it's a good example of the type in pretty much every way. It's got a good, oil-free motor, a 6-gallon tank, and 2.8 psi, which is in line with the competition in this size compressor. The noise level is reasonable, it's portable, and it's functional. The only issue is the price. It's a bit high in comparison to the competition. Not outrageous but I can't see a reason why to spend the extra. ... show more

  • Excellent compressor for filling tires!
This compressor is of excellent quality! There is minimal assembly involved - the handle must be screwed onto the unit out of the box. That is it. It is a nice compact size and not too heavy so it is quite portable and easy to store. It fires right up and works really well. I use it to fill all the tires on my car and it has been reliable and extremely fast at doing that. The versatility is excellent as well. You could definitely use this compressor with some air tools such as nail guns. It is built very wall and the fact that it comes with a nice hose is a huge bonus value! Someone else had reported damage during shipping, but mine was flawless out of the box and it looks and works great. This is a phenomenal value and I would highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Missing parts, broken handle
Didn’t get the 25ft air hose that supposed to come with it and handle was broken when it arrived. Had to return.

  • Great replacement for my old compressor
This air compressor is pretty loud, so I'd recommend using it outside, and not in the garage like I did the first time. Jokes aside it's been working really great. I've used it to air up our suburban's tires, air up our lawnmower's tires and to blow out the water from a garden hose before freezing temperatures set in. It's pretty loud when it charges up but it's really easy to use, just a switch to turn it on and off. It fills faster than my last Crafstman model which is about 10-15 years old at this point, so that's great. Very happy with this and it feels like it'll last me another 10-15 years. ... show more

  • Solid Build, Convenient Dual Ports, but Slow, Loud, and Overpriced
This Craftsman air compressor works well as long as you stay away from tasks that demand high air volume. It’s solidly built, and the included hose and couplers are genuinely good quality. Assembly was simple and attaching the handle is all that’s required. I did find a few loose plastic pieces inside the motor housing. I removed them and haven’t had any issues since. Once assembled, the unit is light enough to carry easily, far more manageable than my 8‑gallon barrel compressor. In day‑to‑day use, it functions exactly as expected. The regulator knobs are standard, and having hookups for two hoses is extremely convenient. I often run multiple tools, and not having to swap hoses constantly is a real time‑saver. The biggest drawback is the slow fill time. It takes just under three minutes to fill the tank, and every recharge adds about another minute. That wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t also very loud. When I use it indoors, everyone has to leave the room to hold a conversation. At $180, you’re paying a premium for this compressor. There are quieter options from reputable brands on Amazon that cost less, which makes the price harder to justify given the noise and refill speed. ... show more

  • Good enough for my dad
My dad loves this new compressor. He's not a professional worker of anything, but he's always making sure his cars are maintained, and this helps with that. While I will agree that this is a bit loud, it does the work with less maintenance. It's definitely perfect for his 'every once in a while' projects. ... show more

  • Light but powerful!
This air compressor came well-packaged and the construction feels very solid. The provided hose is thick and heavy, but does not include any attachments or pneumatic tools. There is a carry handle that needs to be attached with 2 screws, but those screws need a torx-style (star shaped) screwdriver for installation. I included photos so you can see the T-20 screwdriver bit that I used and it got the job done. Not sure why they chose to go with that style of screw, where a philips or hex-bolt style would have been much more convenient. The air compressor functioned perfectly out of the box and quickly filled to 150 PSI before the auto-shutoff kicked in. It is loud, which is typical for this style of air compressor. I really like that it has an "oil free" motor which means no more refilling and dealing with oily messes. It is compact and light enough to get in and out of a car or truck, and for the price it seems like a great value for the money. ... show more
