  • TrackIR still the best!
Still the best. The track clip PRO is really good but you have to set it up a special way. I have 4 TrackIR's. They work vey well once set up properly!

  • Solid and well worth the purchase product.
I’ve used this for a bit now, and it’s been absolutely amazing. I was using another app, for head tracking but it wasn’t as smooth and consistent as the TrackIR. The nice thing about the pro is you can either clip the wired tracker to your headphones, or on your VR if you just want a very big screen to play on. Since getting this I’ve been flying on MsFS and DCS and have had better accuracy in tracking and less headache with disconnect issues. I’ve actually bought another one as a back up, along with IR reflective tape so that I can pretty much use what ever I want to track on. ... show more

  • Great Support From Both Natural Point And KBI/Ergo Warehouse
The TrackIR is a product that performs well for me. I use it to play DCS World and Microsoft Flight Simulator and while the setup's learning curve is a bit steep, there's a lot of help on YouTube. A little perseverance will pay off. I did have a problem with the included TrackClipPro. It quit working but I was able to use the normal hat mounted clip with no issue. I created a trouble ticket with Natural Point (the manufacturer) that was responded to very quickly. Once they determined that it was defective, they told me to contact the seller on Amazon. I did just that and in 3 days, and two emails, I had my replacement. Great Support!! TrackIR has almost no serious competitors so, while it's a little spendy, it works as advertised and makes my gaming a whole lot more immersive. That and my excellent support experience makes recommending this thing a no-brainer. ... show more

  • One of the most helpful utilitarian devices available for FPV/FPS/Flight Sim/Driving
Pros: - The leading head tracking device - Very accurate - Feels "natural" when looking - The adjustments on this are incredibly specific allowing you to dial-in your exact expectations/limitations - Small and light but well-made Cons: - Have to remember to start the TrackIR App and "zero" yourself each use or if you adjust your headset - App can appear to be complex to basic users - IR only attaches onto one side of your head, handles left turns and some maneuvers differently This is THE head tracking utility in the universe to use. I have used this on X-Plane, MSFS, Star Citizen, EVE Valkyrie, DCS, Elite Dangerous, and almost every driving game out there(except TDU2 on Steam). I particularly like how great it works with DCS and ED. I eventually had to tailor the curves for each game for the maximum effectiveness but it works great out of the box. Take the time to read everything and experiment. This even works flawlessly with older games such as Falcon 4.0: Allied Force. Definitely a good buy if you're tired of moving the camera by the keyboard or camera pan buttons. Free-look is amazing! I will definitely buy the next version. ... show more

  • Cheap materials, very bad design and build quality
This is hands down one of the worst products I’ve ever purchased across any category. While the core functionality technically works, that’s the bare minimum you'd expect from a device with a single, simple purpose. The one star goes to the abysmal build quality and poor overall design. The plastic feels like the cheapest possible material—think disposable cutlery quality. The sensor stand is poorly thought out: it doesn't tilt, so unless your monitor is positioned just right, you’re out of luck. The unpowered tracking clip meant for hats is arguably the best piece of hardware in the box (made out of metal), but even that fails at its job. It doesn’t grip the hat securely and constantly slips out of place. The powered TrackClip Pro is a case study in bad design. It attaches awkwardly to headphones (e.g., Razer BlackShark), slowly slides out of place, is constantly visible in your peripheral vision, and feels fragile every time you remove your headset. The clunky size and poor materials make it genuinely frustrating to use. Considering the nearly $200 price tag (with tax), this is completely unacceptable. It feels like the manufacturer is taking advantage of a niche community. I returned it after just a week of steadily building frustration. TL;DR: The functionality is there, but it's wrapped in a poorly designed, cheaply made package that’s frustrating to use and unlikely to last. Unless you’re a professional-level flight simmer, you’re likely better off using one of the iPhone head-tracking apps—they’re more affordable and far less aggravating. If you're not a pro level virtual pilot, you'd be much better off buying one of the iphone apps that do head tracking, they work fine and for the price of a cheap, tilted charging stand for your desk + the app you get a frustration free solution. If you're a pro, you porbably already know all this and you have one of those headband ones. TL;DR: The basic functionality is there but it is a badly designed, very! poor quality toy that's awful to use and will physically break soon. ... show more
