I don’t use the mic much, but it’s easy to pull in and out and adjust so it’s never in the way. You can’t hear much outside of them when you have something playing - no distracting noises! The chord is quite long, but that’s a lot better than being too short. The fabric strap on top is comfortable and the ear muff parts are soft. This is so much better than my old Steelseries Arctis Nova 1, I bought SOULWIT mesh fabric replacement earpads for this headset because I don't like the leather earpads. Very durable metal build quality, amazing sound quality, fits well on my head with the adjustable ski band and a very nice long 3.5mm cable that hasn't disconnected on me. ... show more

    • pretty good but mic is iffy
really good budget headphones, they are comfortable and have a good build quality. there are a few down sides though, the cable and the mic... the cable broke within 7 months of use, although mind you I'm not the best at keeping it managed so it's partly my fault. although a good thing about that is you can just buy another one for like 10$ instead of buying a whole new headset. the mic is kind of the worst thing here, the overall quality of it is actually kind of good, but there's one problem. you can hear what's in your headset from the mic for whatever reason it's pretty annoying, although for the price they've already delivered. 3.9 stars ... show more

I recently bought the SteelSeries headset, and I’m seriously impressed. The comfort is outstanding — I can wear it for hours without any discomfort. The sound quality is crystal clear, and the mic picks up my voice perfectly without background noise. Whether I’m gaming or just listening to music, it sounds incredible. Had it for about a year now, don't really have much complaints about it. Very sturdy headphone as well as being extremely comfortable. Realistically cant expect too much out of the drivers because they are only $40. Insanely good option if not one of the best for this price point.

    • The mic is crap
After having this headset for almost a year, the mic is not working like it used to, there is a lot of static coming from my mic, other than that, its comfy, and a good headset, i would recommend getting a stand alone mic though.

    • Fantastic sound, comfortable fit, but Steelseries GG is *required* software, not optional
There's a lot to like about these - they look nice, they're sleek and well made, quite comfortable and have great sound... IF you download and install Steelseries GG and then turn on Sonar every time you want to switch from speakers to your headset, which for me is frustrating beyond belief. I tried using these without installing and running the software and the sound quality is mediocre at best, with limited audio range, and people found it very difficult to hear me and I was often just not audible to them. I tested the headset on my son's PC as well to confirm it was not a PC issue, and it wasn't. It's just that every review saying Steelseries GG is required is true; once I installed GG and ran Sonar, the difference was night and day. If that's not a dealbreaker for you, then these are great speakers for the price. If, like me, you often switch between speakers and headset, sometimes several times per hour, these things will likely drive you crazy. ... show more
