  • Incredible
Style: w/ 28-70mm Set: Base
Truly a steal. I’ve been skeptical in the past buying used equipment, but this easily saved me hundreds with no decrease in product quality. It came essentially brand new and has been able to produce stunning photos out of nothing. I took it outside and quickly discovered two little hairs on the sensor, which I’m led to believe is why the original seller let it go. No issue to me, a $20 cleaning kit got rid of it. The photos it did appear in don’t at all feel ruined as I’ll just edit them out. Definitely my favorite purchase I’ve made, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to make an equipment jump without spending an arm and leg. The colors are just great. Love it. ... show more

  • Best Camera for the money.
Style: w/ 28-70mm Set: Base
Was on a Canon RP camera before deciding to upgrade. Was nervous at first because of the fear of the item coming in broken. When I tell you, that I am beyond impressed with this Camera. From how well it functions, to the picture quality is superb, the image stabilization is top tier. The size is amazing too fitting perfectly on my hand. And above all else, how easy it is to handle. The battery life is also another plus, being able to shoot at least around 710 pictures in one charge. Definitely recommend! ... show more

  • DO.NOT.BUY.THIS.CAMERA.
Style: w/ 28-70mm Set: Base
DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. I had to send it in for repair after only a few weeks upon receiving it for Christmas. Sent in for repair under warranty. It's been working fine for months now. A year later (after the warranty obviously ended), I am dealing with MAJOR issues. I was in the middle of a photoshoot and the shutter went nuts. I had to troubleshoot and I discovered that the shutter was stuck shut. Every time I restart the camera, remove the battery and the memory cards, restart and try a different lens and try to shoot some more photos, same issue. The screen goes black and a camera error appears on screen. Its awful. I have to push out/reschedule a bunch of my shoots. It costed me money from a session today where it was so bad, I had to give a full refund and reschedule the session. SO embarrassing and unacceptable when this is your job. I also discovered there has been a Class Action Lawsuit against Sony (no longer class action, but still... this is a widespread issue) and it's regarding the same issues that I've dealt with. I am likely going to have to send it in for repairs and pay out of pocket. Sony did not create a quality product with this Sony A7iii. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CAMERA!!! ... show more

  • Pro level at an accessible price

Compared to the 2 Canon DSLRs I have owned in the past, it blows them out of the water in terms of auto focus speed and accuracy. For low light, I've never seen anything like it in the consumer market, not counting the A7s ii which I haven't tried yet. The version that I bought came with the kit lens and it's performance is fine. It's not the best to use for the ultimate low light capabilities, but it's reliable enough. Interestingly enough, the kit lens even has firmware that you can update. I have successfully used my Canon glass with it using a Simga MC-11 adapter. The Canon 17-40mm f4L and Canon 70-200 f2.8L focused quickly. My Sigma 8-16mm lens focused well, though it's meant for APS-C sensors. Oddly enough my Canon 50mm 1.4 paired with the A7iii and Sigma MC-11 takes about a minute or two before the aperature control is functional but once it kicks in, this combo turns night into day. I also use a 35mm 1.8 OSS Sony lens that I used with my a5100 and even though it puts it into APS-C mode which sacrifices quality, it's still good enough. I can even use my Canon 580ex ii successfully with this (manual mode/no HSS) with a Fomex flash trigger. The reason I bought this however was for video. 4k is stunning, though I have to say, plan for paying a but extra for a UHS-II card to get it to work. The S&Q setting is nice for switching over to slow-mo very quickly. The menu system is a bit much but at least it includes a lot of features that are missing with Canon. Battery performance is quite incredible. Overall, I can't see why this camera wouldn't satisfy most pros unless they work in a harsh environment in which case, the weather sealing probably won't be enough. The compact size of it though is nice when you don't want to draw attention. ... show more

  • Best purchase ever!
Style: w/ 28-70mm Set: Base
This camera has changed the GAME! I am so incredibly impressed with this quality of the photos it takes. Even with the kit lens, I’m so impressed! I had bought a brand new Canon Rebel T7 and put a 50 mm & 85 mm lens on it and this camera with the KIT LENS blows that camera and prime lenses out of the water! I love this camera so much. It’s the best purchase I’ve ever made! The touch focusing feature is awesome. The auto ISO is incredible. The shutter sound sounds so boujee (LOL) when I snap a picture with this camera, I just feel like a professional! I’m trying to start a photography business and practicing with this camera has made such a difference! If you were wanting to get in Photography - spend the money. It is well worth it. Update: I had my 2nd shoot with the camera yesterday. I am completely blown away by the difference in the photos that this camera takes versus the DSLR Canon camera that I had. I shot these with a 35 mm prime lens and just WOW! I am still new at this but I am so thankful I made the purchase. If you are starting Photography, whether it’s a hobby or you want to go pro, this camera is the way to go! I am a Sony gal for life now! ... show more
