What made the decision easy was everything beyond the sensor. Battery life on the R6 Mark II is night and day better, which completely changes how enjoyable it is to shoot. The body feels durable, well-balanced, and very comfortable to handhold for long sessions. Weather sealing adds peace of mind, so I don’t worry much about light rain or dusty environments. It’s also simply more fun to use: better ergonomics, IBIS, dual card slots, and controls that feel designed for serious shooting. Wi-Fi connectivity works fine and does what it needs to do. Considering the build quality, reliability, and overall shooting experience, the R6 Mark II offers strong value for the money.
