  • Will work but not worth what you get.
Color: Walnut
Bought the unit with 2-9 cubby base cabinets. I will repeat others here.... This is NOT WORTH $649. You can buy 2 base units made better, and a seperate top for half this price. First, this came in 2 boxes. 1 box has the cabinets, the other has the top. There NEEDS to be better tracking available for items shipped in multiple boxes. The cubbies showed up, but the top didnt until 4 days later. Once the first box is delivered, it shows as "delivered" with no way to track the other box. For 4 days we had no idead where the top was or if it was even coming at all. Both boxes are heavy especially the cabinets. (Driver dragged it up the driveway) All items arrived with no shipping damage. ASSEMBLY..... Please know there is a difference between partical board and MDF. Partical board is basically "chip" board. MDF is dense fiberboard. Assembly is easy. Not much to these but there are issues to watch for. They give you glue for the backs of the cubbies and also nails. The glue doesn't dry completely transparent so be sure to wipe up any excess before it dries. This is important. The instructions have you assembling the cabinet then installing the back with glue and nails, letting it dry. The problem is, the cabinet doesn't have the shelves in it so its not exactly squared up yet. When you go to put the shelves in later, the dried glue cracks and splits the wood as the shelves "align" all the panels. (See pics) I also used the extra nails to try and reinforce the edges where the glue cracked the wood. You can avoid this by building the cabinet facecdown AND installing the shelves BEFORE gluing the back on. The entire cabinet panels and shelves are 1/2" partical board. The wooden pegs are 1/4" dowels. They work to line things up but offer no structural support. Everything lined up well, and the cam locks were drilled correctly. The top LOOKS like very thick MDF. It's not, it's a hollow box. I found this out when I went to attach the top to the base. I decided since the top appeared to be 2.25" thick I'd used longer screws than what came with the top. And more of them. When I went to pre-drill holes for the longer screws, it was obvious that the top is hollow. So no need for longer screws, as they wont be in anything past the initial 1/2". But I DID use more then just the 4 it comes with. If you have to lift and move this unit after assembly, it's very likely that the 4 screws it comes with wont be enough to hold the heavy cabinets to the top when you lift it. QUALITY.... The top is MDF BUT it's hollow. Basically a big, flat, hollow box with a laminate simulated wood finish. The laminate is NOT veneer, it's a textured plastic sheet. The top had brads that missed the outter edge. I had to "tap" them in so I could have the cabinets sit flush against the edges. (See pics) I installed 5/8" rubber feet bought on Amazon so it would be slightly raised off the foor. With no feet, if your floor has any warping, this thing will rock of be out of square. Mine sits flat but being in my basement, the rubber feet ensure no moisture contamination. The shelf pins are plastic. They work but not meant for a ton of weight. But for the size of the cubbies, they are ok. Unless your storing very heavy material. Pros.... Looks ok Works as a work surface Height is good (stools fit well) Good size with room to work on projects. Cons.... Questionable durability. (May not take a beating like a workbench) No adjustable feet. Backs should be full size instead of in a routed edge for more nail support. Instructions need updating to show to build entire cabinets WITH shelves installed before gluing back on. Stability is a little wobbly. Overall..... Hard pass on this. The cost alone is a major issue. For what you get, it's obscenely over priced. The quality, especially for this price, is about a 6 out of 10. The unit will work for a workspace, but so will alot of other things for less, and possibly with much nicer, heavier duty materials. Adjustable feet are a must for something like this. I'd be upset if I spent this much and had to shim the base units to level them. Spend some time and get 2 much nicer cubby base units (even small bookcases) and a much nicer top for 1/2 the price. ... show more

  • Extremely sturdy and worth the money!
I LOVE this work station. I use it for sewing and jewelry making. The height is just what I have been looking for, no more back aches from leaning over and cutting fabric(I have a large cutting mat on the surface). It is huge and looks expensive and very professional with tons of storage. It was simple to put together (I did this alone, except for placing the tabletop on the ends). The instructions call for you to screw the top on, but I did not as it is extremely sturdy just sitting on the ends. I ordered the 2 cubicle ends and 1 tabletop, which came as 2 shipments one day apart. It took about 8 days to receive. It seemed like a lot of money, but totally worth it and very pleased! Glad I did not settle for a cheaper version. ... show more

  • Very poor quality
Color: Walnut
This product is made of very poor quality pressed board. The boards were damaged when on arrival. Though the company sent replacement parts the replacement boards cracked with assembly. I tried to return the product, the company does not provide a paid return label. Return shipping on the product is around 600$. Amazon does NOT follow their own A-Z return policy. Again, very poor quality product. A waste of money. ... show more

  • Nice Solid Craft Table
I do really like this table. As others have commented it is quite solid - at least the table top is. The book shelves are pretty standard - nothing special to them. It is nice to have 9 shelves on each side of the table, though, and I have packed them full of fabric, crafts, patterns, etc. Initially I was concerned the table top might be too high for sewing with the foot peddle. I can sit on the edge of my a stool (which I normally do anyway) and still easily reach the peddle. I can also stand using the foot peddle. I must say, I really like that. BTW, I'm only 5'2", so anyone taller than that would have no problems. Customer service was pretty good. Unfortunately when I rec'd my table initially, 2 corners were beat up a little bit. I was just going to ignore it, but then I thought, for $600 I'm going to send a message. There seemed to be some issues with their email working correctly through Amazon, but when I finally got through, they replaced the table top completely! I was thrilled. All in all, a good value. ... show more

  • Not a great value
My only complaint is that it is not a very good value at $600. Heavy and well designed. But not all MDF is equal and this is a cheaper version that is finished with contact paper, not laminate or anything like that. As a piece of furniture I'd value it at $350. Goes together easy enough but I added some element to stabilize it. A little cheap for the money. ... show more

  • Craft Table
I recently bought an embroidery machine. This is extremely sturdy to handle the mobility of the machine. Easy (but a little time consuming) assembly. A two man project for me to bring into the house, carried pieces upstairs individually, and needed help for the top. And I'm a pretty strong lady. Shelves are adjustable. Great height for me to stand and sew or I bought two stools for both sides to work on computer. I highly recommend this product! Very sturdy! ... show more

  • Just what I wanted.
The assembly was pretty clear and fairly easy. It is a large and heavy thing so it took two of us to handle it. It looks nice, has lots of storage and the height is perfect for what I do.
