Nice pretty complete set with decent instructions. Caution when drilling and screwing the plastic strips. I made the mistake of drilling the holes too small which made the plastic expand when I installed the screws. You should carefully drill holes large enough so that your screws slide through freely. And be careful drilling your countersink holes. It's still possible to expand the plastic strip if you tighten the screws too much - just back off a bit and you'll be good. Providing the plastic strips with pre-drilled holes and including appropriately sized mounting screws might be an improvement to this kit. ... show more

This kit was exactly what I needed. I used a large cutting board for the main part of the sled. All of these parts fit on easily and securely. I like the blue anodizing on the rails. Loved item but definitely pre-drill holes with counter sink first, then attach to sled after aligning. Plastic will warp a bit if you glue tracks to sled first, then drill pilots with counter sink holes, otherwise might end up having to shave a bit for smooth slid sliding.

Size: Table Saw Miter Gauge System
The primary feature of a miter gauge system like this is accuracy, and the Powertec is accurate enough for my needs. Pros: - Solid, sturdy construction - Accurate enough right out of the box, that I didn't have to calibrate it at all. - The fence and stop appear to be of good quality aluminum machining. - I like the positive v-stops at various angles. Not much room for play at all. Cons: - It's a bit fiddly to get the miter gauge onto the table. The rail slides into the track ok, but the miter gauge rides a little lower than the table on my DeWalt 7491 table saw, so I have to raise up on it to get it to clear the edge. I don't see a way to adjust that. Perhaps that's by design to ensure the gauge always rides flat on the table. All I know is the cheap miter gauge that came with the saw doesn't do that, though in fairness, it was made for this saw. - The plastic wheels you compress/expand to snug up the fit of the rail in the track seems like a cheap approach. Those should be adjustable wheels. They are going to wear and require periodic further tightening, until they are no longer effective. Powertec knows this, as they include a set of replacements in the box. - For the target market, the fence may be just a bit too long. It overhangs the edge of my DeWalt table saw nearly too much. To get something better, you'll likely spend 2x-3x the cost of this system. If I had it to do over again, I likely would have. ... show more

Good jig but little wonky instructions. Made it in about 30 minutes. Using 3/4 plywood on a job site Dewalt table saw. Use it more than I thought it would.
