  • Absolutely awesome! Saved me a HUNDREDS of dollars!!!!
My 2020 Mustang has stiff suspension. The adaptive cruise uses a radar sensor that has two ball mounts and a singled lower bolt bracket. One of the ball mounts popped loose pushing the sendsor out of place which disabled adaptive cruise and automatic emergency braking. Quickly diagnosed the issue with the scanner. --- Then applied for a 2 month free extended license (just search "forscan support request" copy in your scanner ID and they'll give you a 2 month trial!) --- - With the extended license I was able to run the Radar Alignment "Service" drove the car above 30mph for 5-10 minutes and the "Radar is not aligned" message disappeared!!! Service successful! and I've driven it a few times and the Adaptive Cruise works perfectly! --- --- This $70 it saved me a trip to a radar servicing center or worse a dealership that would've charged me HUNDREDS on top of costing me time which is precious! --- Compatible with most Ford Vehicles 1996+ (including mazda, lincoln & mercury) Installed the forscan software on a Windows 11 laptop and it worked perfectly. It provided perfect information I needed to resolve my issue. Connected via USB 2.0 just fine and was recognized immediately The software is easy to read and understand. ... show more

  • Gold standard
OBDLink EX FORScan – The Gold Standard for Ford Diagnostics. As anyone who owns a Ford, Lincoln, or Mazda vehicle knows, having the right diagnostic tool can save you a fortune in dealership fees and countless hours of frustration. After hearing many recommendations, I finally invested in the OBDLink EX specifically for use with FORScan software, and I can confidently say it's been an absolute game-changer. Performance: Exactly What It Promised (and More!) This device delivered exactly what it was designed for. The connection with FORScan was rock-solid and instantaneous. There were no frustrating connection drops, no lag in data streaming, and no compatibility issues whatsoever. The speed at which it communicated with my vehicle's modules was impressive, allowing for real-time monitoring and quick diagnostics. I was able to diagnose and link with my computer no problem, accessing various modules, reading codes, and viewing live data with ease. This level of seamless integration and reliable performance is precisely what you need from a diagnostic tool, and the OBDLink EX provides it in spades. Value & Experience: Top-Tier All Around Beyond its exceptional performance, the overall experience with this product was fantastic. The price was very good, especially considering the professional-grade capabilities it unlocks when paired with FORScan. It's an investment that pays for itself many times over by enabling DIY diagnostics and even programming functions that would otherwise require expensive dealership visits. Adding to the positive experience was the fast shipping. The product arrived quickly and well-packaged, ready to use right out of the box. This efficiency always enhances customer satisfaction. No Complaints Whatsoever – A True Five-Star Product! Honestly, I have no complaints at all about the OBDLink EX. From its robust build quality to its flawless connection, excellent value, and rapid delivery, it hits every mark. It performs exactly as advertised, making complex vehicle diagnostics accessible and straightforward for the average user. • Must-Have Tool for Any Ford Owner
The OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter works flawlessly. I’ve had zero issues with it—just plug it in, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to without needing to mess with high or low settings. It handles everything automatically, which makes it super convenient. It’s also very simple to use, even if you’re not a tech expert. The build quality feels solid and professional—definitely not cheap or flimsy like some of the other OBD tools out there. If you own a Ford and want to run diagnostics, program modules, or just dig into your vehicle’s systems with FORScan, this adapter is a must-have. It’s one of the most reliable and user-friendly tools I’ve used, and it’s worth every penny. ... show more

  • Not Bad, But...
This is a good product and performs admirably once you get past a few nuances, for which it loses a star. Specifically, ignore the card (see pic) that comes with the cable for a red light. If you follow that link you’ll go to a page that constantly reloads itself (see pic). The key to making the OBDLinkEX cable work is in Forscan itself. At the risk of stating the painfully obvious, the vehicle needs to be running and the cable hooked up to your PC and ODBII port. Click ok on the no adapter warning (see pic) then click on settings (gear icon), then connection >> connection type >> COM (see pic). You can also select auto, but that didn’t work for me; your mileage may vary. Once done, click on the vehicle interface icon (top icon) and then the connect to vehicle icon bottom left of the screen. Forscan will try different COM ports until it finds the one it likes and the business end of the OBDLinkEX will go from red to green. At this point Forscan will start its interface and start a readout. You can also link to a Bluetooth OBDII reader by selecting Bluetooth in the connection drop down menu mentioned above and there are several youtube videos that show you how to do this. You might get a microsoft type warning about this being the wrong type of interface – caveat emptor. ... show more
