I had a vacuum for over 20 years. It was time to replace it. There are so many vacuums out there. We had made the mistake before in buying a cheaper brand that didn't last and I didnt want to buy a more expensive one and it be junk too. I only bought this one after watching several videos from other customers and I finally pulled the trigger. Yes it is over my normal budget, but hopefully this one will last a long time. Expensive but sofar seems worth it. You do need to get at least the basic power head. To get the better one is even more $$$ which is hard to believe at the price point you’ve already paid.

    • Even better value as a replacement for an older Miele Vac
This purchase was to replace my 25 year old Miele S344i Platinum vacuum. Although it may seem extravagant, $700 is a great price for a German made Miele vacuum, that can also use power accessories. I packed away the basic tools that were included and reused the 2 year old bare floor and SEB 236 power nozzles from my old vac. That gave me the equivalent vacuum to the $1200 Miele Kona, but saved me the over $400 price difference. Other than the new, one-touch, retractable power cord and lager dust bag, there really isn’t much of difference between my new vac and the old one it was replacing and that’s a good thing. I removed one star For two reasons. You have to turn the power way down to use the included bare floor nozzle. Otherwise, it’s sucks down onto the floor and is difficult to move. You should be able to use full suction if the floor brush is set to the proper height. The other reason was because the included power nozzle does not have a light on it. A row of LEDs on the front would only have added $2-3 to the manufacturer cost and the omission degrades the premium feel of a electric power nozzle over the air-driven turbo nozzles included in Miele’s cheaper models. ... show more

    • Best Vacuum we’ve had
My boyfriend and I love this vacuum, it’s not super loud on it’s max performance either, you can hold conversation pretty well while it’s going and the cord retracts nicely and is a good length for moving around. The suction power is really good, though there is a better power head you can get apart from the one this comes with although it can be a few hundred bucks brands new. Worst Miele ever, unless your going to use it for bare floors ONLY, then it's a good vacuum but if you want to vacuum any rug ( low pile, high pile, deep pile, ) or pet hair on anything, this vacuum stinks!! I owned a Miele upright , which I gave to my daughter because it was to heavy for me with arthritis developing, had it for many years and it was excellent!! This vacuum isn't worth the money and I now have to actually buy another vacuum to clean my low pile rugs because this this doesn't work....please take my advice and not waste your money on this piece of crap!! ... show more

    • C3 Excellence - Canadian Model. No Warranty In The US
You cannot register this vacuum in the US as it’s a Canadian model and they will not honor the warranty. This is directly from Miele USA. However, it’s a perfectly legit German made C3 with an electro wand, hose and electro brush. The lowest price US C3 with these capabilities is ~$1049. Miele motors rarely fail and are about $175. The control board is about $75. Save $300 and take a chance or pay more for the warranty. ... show more
