I had been using a Blaupunkt 10" sub (4 ohm, single voice coil) and I thought it performed pretty decently. The I thought maybe I would upgrade to a dual voice coil sub that could run at 2ohms. I'm glad I did!! This sub is far superior to what I had and I can't believe the difference in punch and fullness of the bass. No issues here. I was able to wire it down to 1 ohm on the dual coils. That matches my amp now. I love it Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose kicker because I put kicker speakers in all 4 corners of the car. Might as well keep it the same.

I did a lot of research when I looked for a new single 10” sub. I wanted something my amp could handle but sound great at the same time. I chose this sub because of its 2ohm rating instead of the many other 4ohm subs out there. Do your research and understand basic electrical ratings to know what you want and how to match things up! My amp is rated for many different ohm setups and I wired it in parallel 2ohm for an RMS rating of 600 Watts. My box is also a tad undersized for the recommended cubic airspace but I filled it with poly fill and it hits way harder than I need to, lol. This little 10” sub packs a mean punch in a small package. I’m still fine tuning my amp to this sub but I can’t be happier with it. I ... show more

I made my own sub box and this sounds so good. I get compliments all the time. Best ever. Mine are 4 ohm dual voice coils paralleled down to one ohm and my kicker amp loves it. Its the 800/400 mono amp. Dedicated amp for one 10 inch kicker sub. Its all you need. I have my gain set on half. I didn't like the fine print booklet. Very hard to read. But not going to mark them down for that, 5 stars for this sub. ... show more
