DO NOT BUY THIS ALTERNATOR! I installed it on m Jeep Cherokee and issues started right away, I chased down all possible reasons and found no culprit. I finally took it to the Auto shop and they tested it 3 times, all three failed. It should teach me a lesson not to buy cheap chineez auto parts. Save yourself some time and heartache, spend a little more and buy American made, shoot even the ones from Mexico are far above what they sold me.

works ok has a mild kind of noise to it could just need some wear to go away one other minor problem was I needed to bend in the thin cover 1/4" to make it fit other wise the wire harness wouldn't fit on.

The alternator fit in my 97 Jeep Wrangler TJ pretty easily. My Jeep doesn’t have air ( most of this model do not ) and it took me about an hour and a half to get it installed. Not bad for never having done one before. Price is great, and I like that the brand has a one year replacement policy. It’s only been in a day now, so I will update the review as time goes on.

I bought to install on my 97 ZJ 4.0. It works, but the fitment was a bit off on the back cove (the thin stamped part, not the cast part) It was easy enough to modify to fit, but if you're not comfortable with that kind of thing maybe stay away. Not sure if this is an issue exclusive to the ZJ.
