This was a difficult choice, with so many dog car seats out there, but this one is perfect for me and my pup. I drive a Mini Cooper and my dog is a whippet-terrier-chihuahua mix, about 15 lbs. It is easy to secure to my passenger seat (with a leather car cover I recently installed btw), it's cozy, I put an extra little blanket inside, my dog is secure enough with the hook that is attached within the seat, but he doesn't jump around...so if you have a dog that does, I also bought an extra bungee cord strap separately, if needed. This car seat keeps my dog safe and completely secure when braking in traffic, it has foldable sides that work for sun-shading, and I can easily carry him into the groomers while still in the seat too! It's simply perfect, very well-made, with a beautiful material, and worth it after years of having my dogs sitting willy-nilly on my car seats. I feel good about this purchase and caring for my pet. I bought this for a trip from NH to PA. I didn't want my feline stuck in a cat carrier for the long trip. Bottom line is we both enjoyed the trip. I attached the leash to her halter. For additional safety I tied her own leash to the passenger side door. I added a catnip pad and fleece for her added comfort. She couldn't get under my feet or distract me while driving, but I could reach over and pet her during stops, which I wouldn't have been able to do if she was in a carrier. She slept most of the trip, and could get up and change sleeping positions easily. The seat was fairly easy to install, although I wish to you could tighten the seat straps around the headrest and seat better. I would recommend this product, not only for routine local trips, but especially for long hauls. ... show more

I recently purchased the small dog car seat for dogs under 30 lbs, and overall, it's a solid option for smaller pets. While my 25 lb dog can easily flatten the edges when stepping on them, the seat itself provides a cozy and comfortable resting spot once he's settled inside. However, based on my experience, I don't believe it can adequately support a 30 lb dog—it seems better suited for much smaller dogs. That said, I wouldn't recommend buying this car seat at full price—it feels a bit overpriced for what it offers. However, if you can snag it during a sale, it's worth considering. A big plus was the customer service experience. When I received a defective seat initially, they were extremely helpful and promptly resolved the issue, which I really appreciated. In summary, it’s a decent car seat for smaller dogs but not the most durable or supportive option for dogs close to the weight limit. The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this car seat! It keeps my pup safe and secure while we’re driving, and she looks so comfy and happy in it. Unbelievable quality......really impressed. Tried both the medium and small for a 26lbs dog.........small is perfect. Used the seriously solid straps on the backseat headrest, the Jacko plastic carry handle as a seat anchor (to reduce slide) and driver lid console in an INEOS Grenadier to secure this mini hammock. I’m pretty sure my cat is claustrophobic so this helped him be comfortable in the car but also help seclude him to one area. We set it out in the house for about a month so he’d get used to seeing it and smelling it and he set in it all on his own a lot. Theres handles in the side that help fold it up into a makeshift carrier but if you’ve got a runner, I wouldn’t use that. The idea of the car seat is great though It’s not super secure. The only real attachment is a loop that goes around the headrest. Theres a leash type thing that attaches to the animal’s harness (don’t use a collar for that), but again it’s not super secure and just poses as a loose attachment. It would help if that piece had an adjustable length because he tries to get up and walk around (understandably, but dangerous while driving). It inevitably got puked on so we followed the instructions for washing it but it got torn even on the gentle cycle so the stuffing came out. Overall it works as a comfy seat for your pet in the car but safety and durability aren’t super great. ... show more

I purchased this for a 9-day cross country trip with my two (2) dogs. I have Aussie doodles. One is 24 pounds and the other is 15 pounds. 38 pounds of 2 dogs in the front seat of my CRV was plenty comfortable for them both. We also used it as a bed in the hotels we stayed at inc the way. I did wash this in a hotel laundry the first night, and the pillow developed a hole, unfortunately. But, it was at the seam. And the washing machine was small. So I can’t fault the product. I did purchase a separate harness/seat belt, for $10 here on Amazon, and didn’t use the straps included. All in all, I am super happy with this product. It was one of the things that helped make this horrible trip better. ... show more
