Okay, I am so grateful for this Garvee portable air conditioner. My bedroom gets ridiculously hot in the summer, and this has been a total lifesaver! What drew me to this model air conditioner was that is was also a dehumidifier. The air where I live is so terribly humid, it makes the heat feel even worse than it is. I'm able to use this just as a dehumidifier when needed and not even have the compressor for the AC turned on if I don't need it to be. So this was perfect for me. It's powerful enough to completely cool off my den and connected rooms. But it's also small enough that it doesn't take up a ton of room in there either. Connecting the hose to my window to use as the exhaust vent was easy and it was nice not trying to balance a large heavy unit inside of a window sill. I never have to worry about this one being unbalanced and possibly falling, because the only thing connected to the window is the hose. This even comes with a remote control, so I can turn it on and off, or change it to just fan or just dehumidifier from wherever I'm at in the room. I'm so pleased with how cool this keeps my den and how easy it's been to use. The all-in-one design is such a handy setup!

This portable air conditioner does a really good job cooling a small room. I like that it has multiple modes so I can use it as a fan or dehumidifier when I don’t need full cooling. The remote is convenient, and the sleep mode is nice for keeping the room comfortable at night without blasting too much cold air. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that it can be a bit noisy, especially on higher settings. It also takes up a fair amount of space, but that’s expected for a portable AC. Overall it cools effectively, works as advertised, and has made hot days much more manageable.

We live in a two-story home where some of the rooms are always hot. We wanted a good portable AC system that is efficient, quieter, vents easily and comes from a brand we trust. The machine itself is well made, sturdy, durable, and easy to move. It utilizes a window vent system in order to blow out the exhaust and not heat up the room. Installation was easy as we set it up in a room approximately 300 square feet that has two windows. The windows open vertically and it was simple to setup the exhaust hose. The room temperature before use was always hovering at around 83 degrees and after use it dropped down to 75 within 45 minutes. We have been using this for a month now in an upstairs bedroom and it cools it down tremendously. It’s not loud, I would say it’s equivalent to a small vacuum cleaner. The various fan speed options are convenient and I really don’t have any complaints about its shape or size. The remote control is convenient and its range reaches across the room. I see this AC lasting a long time and will keep us cool for many years!

This little portable air conditioner unit is really nice and really compact. It's small, which is great for storage since you won't have to allocate much space for it, but also if you are using it in a more permanent setting it won't hog up the room at all. And the blower on this thing is strong. It really moves the air on high to what I thought was a surprisingly strong (and good) degree. My kitchen gets really hot when I cook even though we have central AC. We live where it's very hot and humid so sometimes when I'm cooking the dehumidifier setting alone works wonders. I find this unit to be surprisingly light for an air conditioner, though as long as you have it on a finished floor you can roll it around. It doesn't roll very well on thicker carpet, but that's the case for most small casters. Overall, it's a really nice little air conditioner and the price is good. It feels solidly built and works well so far. I'm very pleased with it.

In comparison, this seemed like a good price point, but I am definitely not an expert as this is my first. I tested this in my barn as I need to make some cuts to the window framing in order to fit my older homes window size. Instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow. Sets up very fast and ran great. I felt the sound was fairly quiet to me, but I am also used to white noise machines. I appreciate the drain option for when using as a dehumidifier. Rolls super easy and although not light, I can still pick it up and carry it over thresholds and/or up and down stairs with ease. The multi-use options are also an added bonus.
