Furinno JAYA Compact Computer Study Desk is designed for space saving and modern stylish look. It is great for apartments and dorms where space is limited. The shelves on both sides provide storage spaces for computer, books and other accessories. The main material - medium density composite wood is manufactured in Malaysia and complied with the green rules of production. The PVC tube is made from recycled plastic and is tested for its durability. There is no foul smell, durable and the material is the most stable amongst the medium density composite woods. A simple attitude towards lifestyle is reflected directly on the design of Furinno Furniture, creating a trend of simply nature. It is small like a student desk and it isn't made for sitting on or pulling everything but the bathroom sink on it. But if you're looking for a place for Bible study, homework, or to sew then this will suit your needs. It was very easy to put together. Took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver for the screws, flat head to turn the fastener locks, and a small hammer or mallet for the thumbtack type feet if you don't have the handstrength to push them in on your own. I purchased the Espresso computer desk for my teen son back in December 2021. It's now mid March 2022 and is holding up well with daily use. I wanted something small and affordable, that would match his other Espresso bedroom furniture, and had some sort of storage space. I went back and forth between this and a few others from the brand, and am pretty happy with my choice. Set up is very easy. My husband didn't realize it came with instructions, and had it set up in 15 minutes without them. The styrofoam packaging was an annoying mess to deal with, but every piece was accounted for and in perfect condition. The desk is sturdy, without any wobbling. We are using a simple folding chair, which fits perfectly. There isn't much leg room, so I don't know that a typical wheeled desk chair would fit, but there is enough leg room for my 5'7 165lb son to sit comfortably. There is just enough desk room to use his laptop, with a separate keyboard and mouse. I do wish this had a keyboard tray, however, having the 4 side shelves makes up for that. Overall, I do recommend this desk- for its affordability, style, and simple set up. It will work well in small spaces, for kids or smaller adults. I have 3 side tables from this same brand, that I purchased over 3 years ago, and they still look new. I typically use a microfiber cloth to clean off my Furinno furniture, but I have also used Clorox wipes and Murphy's Oil Soap, without issue. Though, I'm guessing, if it gets too wet, too often, the finish will bubble. However, if you need affordable furniture, that won't be put through a ton of wear and tear, this brand has decent products! ... show more

The instructions were pretty self-explanatory; it was not that hard to assemble. Although during the process when I was screwing a screw, a piece of the wood broke (will upload pics). You have lot's of room to store and display items. Two monitors can fit on the top shelf which was good! There is not that much leg room when sitting due to the 2 black leg stands. I can't fit my regular size computer chair in that notch area. I am going to see if I can srew those legs more outwards so I can fully sit with my chair in. Overall, the desk is okay starting out. I am looking to get a new flat desk so I can't fully sit with my chair into the desk ( that's my preference). The material is a bit cheap, after 2 months you will see bits of the wood chip away. But the leg room is the main issue with me. ... show more

Just as pictured. Easy to assemble and doesn't take up a lot of space. I didn't pay attention to adding a chair that I could push under the desk so I actually gifted my roommate with this desk and looking for a new one from the same seller. I've purchased several pieces of the French Oak that goes perfectly with the furniture in my room and all have been very nice and affordable. I will add photos shortly. Update: As promised here are the photos. FYI pay close attention to the instructions. I put the back piece that sticks out inward. It should be outward. No big deal really... I see this desk is multifunctional because even though it was put on incorrectly it functioned normally. I do love the keyboard stand. OH FYI I didn't purchase at regular price. Check out when you see USED sold at a lower price. This doesn't mean actual USED but during inspection a small damage or customer return. It is a hit or miss so don't post a review being upset if you select this option on any purchase UNLESS the the order comes worse than listed. This desk arrived in perfect condition at a lower price. Although I truly love this product it had a lot of missing parts and I actually destroyed it by trying to use regular nails to put it together which did not work because the material that is made from does not require regular nails and it's totally destroyed and I did request a refund so I can read by it and hopefully that the next purchase it would be correct ... show more

I needed an inexpensive desk to work from home during Covid, this was a great price, fast shipping, and was easy to put together. It served the purpose of holding my two desktop monitors at a slight angle inward on the top shelf, I also put a tray on the top shelf inbetween the monitors to hold post it notes and pens, keyboard and mouse on the top of the desk with plenty of room for a notebook on the side, drink, and I could eat my breakfast and lunch without moving the keyboard. I had a multi-tier shelf very similar style of this desk but dark grey shelves instead of the brown, next to the desk, which I used for file storage on the bottom and my laptop and dock on the top. I could have fit those on the desk but I wanted the laptop to be a little higher than my head for zoom meetings, the desk is very low so you would end up looking down at the camera. (I'm 5'5 and the laptop on the top shelf of the desk pointed straight at my chin and next. There is not a lot of leg room in the middle so I usually just sat slightly turned. Great for a part time use, a laptop or desktop only, or a writing desk. Would not recommend for full time office desk as it can be uncomfortable after 8 hours sitting sideways, or hunched over as the desk is lower than a standard office desk, or for a large desktop or in my case desktop monitors and a laptop + dock. Even though I'm not working from home anymore this is a great addition to the guest room and will likely end up holding gaming monitors, sitting back with a controller but still having the desk top to set things and the shelves for storage will work out great. ... show more
