What a beautiful story! This is the first manga I've ever read because I love the anime so much. The depth of story telling is sneaky because there isn't a lot of action. But the exploration of human emotion, empathy, and time is what makes this story so memorable.

I have read my share of stories and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is one of the best! It is in the top five, with the bible being the first. It is the attention to details that brings me back to not only watching the anime but reading the manga as well.     • Great manga - for more mature readers
Format: Paperback
Fantastic manga book. My son (18yo) asked for this series for Christmas and has been super happy with them. He says they're more appropriate for older kids as they deal with more sort of existential issues. Not gory or sexual mostly, but the themes are more mature. Great quality of a book, though.

This as a book that makes you think about people and relationships. I mean even though you could live a couple thousand years that doesn't mean that people who don't are dispensable. The book is clean and not suggestive either. (Unlike most graphic novels.) I can't wait for volume 2. For a good family friendly graphic novel for boys and girls 12 and older. This is good. And it's clean enough to for grandma to read it to her grands too. Not a whole lot of action but it is a great book on the relational condition. EB ... show more
