Having two large white Pyrenees, vacuuming pet hair is the most important feature for us. This vacuum cleaner is excellent at cleaning up pet hair (from everything). It is a little bit harder to operate but definitely worth it.

Dyson has my heart! Best vacuum ever! We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and hair is everywhere frequently. The suction power is the best. It's great on hard floors, carpets, rugs, any kind of flooring. For lightweight rugs, you may want to pull out the hose and add the crevice attachment with the pull down small brush thing and go over the rug that way, otherwise it will just suck up the whole rug. It's great too to clean the inside of your car, or anything. Always empty it before it gets too packed with dirt in your canister and clean your filters. You want to take care of it so it can take care of your cleaning needs for a good long time. ... show more

    • Good vacuum but the hose is annoying/inconvenient to use once extended
Works great around my house as I have a husky/lab mix dog & a cat for overall controlling all the pet hair day to day, however using the hose extension is beyond annoying. Definitely should’ve been engineered with an easier customer use, the annoying tube extension that slides out of the hose makes it difficult to operate the bendy part of the hose in a convenient manner once extended and the bendy hose just isn’t long enough while the hard plastic extension piece is too long in my opinion. The tank that holds the sucked up dirt/debris seems very fragile/flimsy made with thinner cheap plastic. Just doesn’t seem very durable in the long run. ... show more

GURLLLLL.... Let me pour some tea on this upgraded hoover. Love me some dyson products, with dogs my home is covered in fur. I needed something that could do a deep clean and had tried several pet vacuums that were lackluster until this bad boy. This thing will suck the quils off of a porcupine.     • Don’t waste your money
This vacuum is horrible. For the price I paid I am very disappointed. I have had two other dysons before and worked great for about 15 years. Cons: top heavy so it falls down all the time. When you tilt it on its back wheels to move it, it just keep flipping down and when you go to put it away it just tips over. The lock mechanism to keep it upright is so sensitive. It has a hard time picking up little things in the carpet. Just pushes them around. It’s great at dust and hair though. I think my biggest issue that I curse every time I vacuum is the hose. It’s only great for reaching up high but if you are vacuuming along baseboard or cracks or cleaning up a pile the hose plastic part is so long that when you try to use it below your waist it just kinks the hose and looses suction power. You can detach the long plastic piece but then you have to bend really low or squat to even reach the floor. Other Dyson did not have this issue. Also, it is soo loud. Loudest vacuum I have ever used. Overall it is just a cheap plastic, not well designed, over priced vacuum. Never again will I buy a Dyson. ... show more

I have an original Dyson Ball Animal I bought roughly 10 years ago. I have replaced the brush on it several times, but it’s been a good little vacuum. I now have 4 cats, and in 6 months, there will be 5, a bunny and 2 kids. I needed to go ahead and upgrade. The original does a great job. This ball 3 animal?? I swear it has more than twice the suction of the original. Also has more canister space so you can vacuum more area between emptying. Worth every penny. ... show more

I like this vacuum. I have bought Dysons for many years. This one is perfect for my upstairs. I have dogs and carpets, so it gets lots of use. I have not been disappointed. One thing to note, it is shorter, and lighter than some I have purchased in the past. I am short so it’s great for me. My daughter is taller and says it is more awkward. ... show more
