As an electronics hobbyist, I have a bunch of multimeters around the house, but I was missing a clamp meter, and have been wanting one for some time. This meter is a very compact clamp meter, with a number of other useful functions built in. For my purposes, I was obviously most interested in the clamp option for taking current measurements, but will also make extensive use of the voltage measurements, and sometimes temperature measurements. All of these functions appear to work flawlessly, and match up well with readings I get from some of my other test equipment. The included test probes are quite honestly the nicest set of probes I've seen included in a budget-friendly meter. Inclusion of a temperature probe is a nice added bonus, as that has always been a separate optional purchase with my other meters. Then, to top it all off, this includes a reasonably nice zipper case to store the whole set in one place, which, most importantly, is actually large enough to easily fit the probes and the meter in the case and get it to close.

This multi-meter has all of the features I would ever need. Obviously, it is a clamp meter. That is cool enough, especially for the price. But, it is also auto-ranging and supports all of the most common functions, plus more. Beside the usual AD/DC/AMP/Ohm and continuity measurements, you can also measure capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, temperature and it also has non-contact voltage testing. I can never find my NCV tester when I need it. It is small and easily overlooked in a toolbox or drawer. It is really nice to have this feature on a multi-meter that you can see as soon as you open your toolbox. Another surprising thing about this meter is its durability. This thing feels very durable. The casing seems robust and the knob feels very sturdy. I've had a number of inexpensive multi-meters over the years. The majority of them have felt cheaply made and had issues with the knob where the display would go wonky when you change functions. This one does not feel cheap in any way. The knob is firm and there are no issues when switching functions. This meter has all of the features I would ever need, and more. For the price, this is an exceptional multi-meter. You can't go wrong with this one. Check it out.

I ordered this Multimeter as a gift for my Electrical/Electronic Engineer hubby. He retired over 20 years ago and still has many of his old tools on his bench! My children and I decided to surprise him with new equipment. He likes this meter! He says it is a "respectable" meter with good functionality! He admitted that it had one or two features that his old meter did not have and he was excited about that. He gave the probes an A+ and stated that the readings were accurate (within tolerances or something like that.) I don't know anything about meters so I am taking his word for it! He was also impressed with the compact size! The meter was a big hit! I asked him about the price, and he said it was a great price for the meter.

This is a budget digital clamp meter but it is full of features which include current, voltage, temperature readings, and a bunch more. It is very compact, easy to carry around and for on the job duties, it does the job really well. I used to carry around my multi-meter but this eliminates the need for that since it is an all rounder package has the abilities of reading voltages as well as its primary ability for reading wire currents.

This replaces my old analog multimeter with a modern digital clamp meter with some extra features. There are lots of similar competitors to this clamp meter out there and this is one of the more inexpensive units. It appears to have the same functions, stated accuracy, and features as its more expensive competitors. I use a multimeter mainly for the classical functions - AC and DC voltage, current, resistance and continuity. This works fine for those. The addition of a non-contact voltage probe and a thermocouple are handy additions for me and they work fine. I don’t often need the clamp feature for a single current-carrying wire but it will be nice to have on hand if that need arises. Use is fairly self-explanatory which is a good thing because the “manual” doesn’t really tell you much. There are a few things for neophytes to note. The non-contact voltage probe works just like stand-alone NCV probes. NCV detection produces a flashing red light and sound; there is nothing to read on the display. To make most measurements using the red INPUT and black COM probes you have to remove the plastic caps that keep those probe tips from getting bent. The non-contact clamp current or frequency meter only works on one current-carrying wire at a time, not on bundled wire or cord. The meter comes with a nice case.
