I’m honestly blown away by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I wish I had started this game sooner. From the very beginning, it pulls you in with its atmosphere, art direction, and unique tone. The world feels rich and thoughtfully designed, and the story has a weight to it that keeps you wanting to see what happens next. The combat is engaging and rewarding, striking a great balance between strategy and intensity. Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is nothing short of breathtaking. The graphics are absolutely stunning, blending realism with a dreamlike atmosphere that pulls you in from the very first moment. Every detail—lighting, textures, and environments—feels carefully crafted to create an otherworldly experience. The characters are memorable and deeply human, and everything in this game—art, sound, gameplay—comes together seamlessly. The story is unique and compelling, the kind you don’t want to rush through or skip a single line of dialogue. It rivals Nier Automata in terms of narrative depth, music, and character development. Speaking of music—the soundtrack is simply phenomenal. This may be the best score ever composed for a video game, enhancing every moment and cementing the emotional weight of the journey. Gameplay-wise, the balance is near perfect. The campaign remains consistently challenging without ever feeling unfair, and the mechanics encourage creativity and experimentation. There’s a level of depth here that keeps every encounter fresh and rewarding. This isn’t just one of the best PS5 games to date—it’s a landmark achievement in gaming. This is definitely one of the best games I've played in a while. I'm sure you have seen the reviews, awards and all of the hype. Well, it deserves every bit of recognition that it gets. The music, characters, story, graphics, gameplay. They nailed it all. Give it a try before dismissing it as overrated.

This game was a pleasant surprise. It was this game studio's first game. This game is an RPG. Battle is turn based. And you travel around a map. This is a fantastic game. The story draws you in. The combat is excellent and well put together. The soundtrack is very good too. I'm glad I played this game.

Clair Obscure is an art term for stylized use of the contrast of light and dark to create an interplay greater than the sum of the parts. This game is absolutely that is so many ways. This game has one of the best emotional stories of any game I've played. It has a turn based combat system which is actively engaging on your turn and enemies turns, while retaining the turn based room to breathe if desired. The art is absolutely amazing, even if not technically the super top end, but the style and thematic art design conquers all. The soundtrack is possibly amongst the best, up there with great games like Final Fantasy 7! Warning: The game handles dark subjects and does not shy away from showing how people react to them in different ways.

Very, VERY worth the hype. The story is so captivating, the world so rich and engaging. The music is phenomenal and the characters are so compellingly constructed. To be quite honest, it is a 9.5/10 game. The only issue I ran into is that, sometimes during combat, especially if it is taking you a while to defeat an opponent, the music just...stops? Seems to be a common bug. But other than that, the game is fantastic. About this seller, though, my case came with a dent right in the center. It, thankfully, didn't harm my disk but it's a pretty clear indentation.

Game exceeded my expectations, even after hearing the reviews from others. A true JRPG made by passionate French devs. Game is fun, combat can be difficult if you're up for the challenge. Music was made by someone from Soundcloud, and yet the entire OST is amazing. The world itself is breathtaking to take in. Won't spoil, but for those who come after this game, you'll be in for a treat!

This is an absolutely amazing game. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is hauntingly beautiful, the story is sad and intriguing, and the gameplay is addicting. If you are on the fence about this game, quit hesitating. You will not regret it. I've seen a few places that called it a "souls-like," it is not. There is parrying and dodging during battles, but it is not too hard to get the hang of it. If you die, the most that will happen is you spend a few seconds getting back to the monster that defeated you. You don't lose anything, and monsters only respawn if you rest. This is the first game in a long time that I have to drag myself away from my console. I make plans on when I can get back to playing. I'm happy it's going to rain for three days because I won't feel guilty about not getting outside yardwork done, and I can beat some more monsters instead. The makers of Clair Obscur knocked it out of the park. I hope to see many more games from them.
