  • The scalpers and chip shortage sucks, but if you get one, it’s a great system
Managed to snag this beast off Amazon randomly during one of the few times they’ve had them. No clue how other than refreshing a lot. I feel bad for those of you who’ve yet to grab one, but while it’s a great console, it’s not *that* amazing. Needs more ps5 exclusive games before I’d worry too much. I still play my PS4 in the bedroom when the boy takes over the living room tv and have a blast. So, don’t let the urge to get your hands on one overwhelm you. You’ll get yours! I do love the console, though. I use it and my series x (again, got super lucky again, but on wally morts website that time) about the same amount. The ps5 is indistinguishable verses the series X in terms of power that I’ve seen. They’re both powerful consoles and outshine my aging 1070ti pc by a ton (that’s been the hardest to upgrade for me). The UI is a fresh look and functional enough. I like the store is just there to select when you feel and it doesn’t have to “load” the store like on ps4 and ps3. I like that it has a pull up *task* bar, for lack of better words, that you can quickly pull up and make on the fly adjustments to the sound control, accounts, etc. The best upgrade are the new controllers, imo. Haptic feedback is a neat feature, though honestly not a deal breaker if games don’t utilize it. It’s cool to feel different guns in games have different trigger feel/pull. My favorite part is the size and shape redesign. Fits my semi larger hands much better, but my 11 year old has no issues, either. It just feels better, if you know what I mean. The one downside I’ve found here is battery life. Absolutely a downgrade verses the PS4 controllers. The ssd is fast and does a good job. The only downside, and it’s kinda big, is the super specific drive you have to buy if you want to upgrade the internal drive. They’re crazy expensive, much like the series X, but more so. Who knows how long we have to wait to see larger than 1TB affordable drives that will work. The console itself is a chonker, so make sure you have the space for ventilation. Not a huge fan of the design, but you can see the design and make your own decision. Good luck on your hunt and keep trying. If you refuse to pay scalpers, as I did, get on Twitter and follow a few of the accounts that alert you to upcoming ps5 stock. That’s how I heard about the Amazon stock when I got this one. Also, screw scalpers. That is all. ... show more

  • PlayStation 5 Console: Gaming's Next-Gen Marvel
The PlayStation 5 Console represents the pinnacle of gaming technology, delivering an unparalleled gaming experience that sets a new standard for the industry. Sony has truly outdone itself with this next-generation marvel. One of the standout features of the PS5 is its remarkable processing power. Equipped with a custom-designed AMD processor and an ultra-fast SSD, it not only delivers breathtaking graphics but also eliminates loading times. Games load in a flash, and you're transported into immersive worlds without a moment's delay. The graphics capabilities of the PS5 are nothing short of breathtaking. With ray tracing, 4K resolution, and HDR support, every frame is a visual masterpiece. Whether you're exploring the richly detailed environments of open-world adventures or experiencing the intensity of action-packed shooters, the PS5's graphics elevate gaming to an art form. The DualSense Wireless Controller is a game-changer in itself. Its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers provide a level of immersion that was previously unimaginable. You can feel the tension of a drawn bowstring or the rumble of a roaring engine, adding a new dimension to gameplay. Backward compatibility is another strong suit of the PS5. You can revisit your favorite PS4 titles and experience them with improved performance and load times. Plus, the PS5's vast library of games, including exclusives like Demon's Souls and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, offers something for every gamer. The PS5 also boasts a sleek and futuristic design that looks right at home in any entertainment setup. It's not just a console; it's a statement piece. One of the only downsides, if you can call it that, is its initial scarcity, which made it a bit challenging to get your hands on one. However, as production ramps up, this issue is likely to subside. In summary, the PlayStation 5 Console is a true gaming powerhouse that raises the bar for the entire industry. Its stunning graphics, lightning-fast load times, immersive controller, and impressive game library make it a must-have for any serious gamer. If you're looking to experience gaming at its finest, the PS5 is the way to go. ... show more

  • Proud owner of the Playstation 5
Proud owner of a the next gen console, PlayStation 5. I wished it was more available to purchase than sold out. I had great luck to order the ps5 when it came instock online. I was patiently waiting to get the shipping confirmation and pray that it arrived safe and sound. The shipping box was damage on the top folding flapps, but the PlayStation box itself was okay. It is a heavy console weighing at around 9 lbs or 4.45 kg. It is the tallest console in vertical position compare to the xbox series x. I am please with how the console looks and especially the newer redesigned dualsense controller. I find out that it also has a M.2 expansion slot to further allow more ssd storage for the PlayStation 5, which will come in a further update this coming summer. Safe to say, i am liking the new features and details on the PS5. With the new uhd blu-ray disc drive finally in this next gen console, makes it even better for the price, and also further your use of the next gen console. In my opinion it looks much better in the vertical position, some like it in horizontal position. Performance wise is pretty fast, not sure how Sony did it, but they did. This is a great next gen console and can't wait for great games to come. Overall, it arrived safe, i have yet to play any games on it. But i am liking the new design and will have it stand next to my 4k hdr tv. This is a great console and sony took it to the next level in terms of design and power. ... show more
