This Audio-Technica Headshell is light weight, but seems to perform well enough. Check your Phono Cartridge to be sure it will work well with this feather weight Headshell.

I bought this for my Denon DP-1200 to replace a generic headshell that I was using. I’m using a Sumiko Rainier cartridge on it. It is much heavier than my previous one. It doesn’t have a brand name so I don’t know how to compare that for you, other than the weight of this headshell, which is in the listing. I realigned everything easily and made sure the vertical tracking force was spot on for my cartridge. I can’t say I can hear much difference if any. I am not some self proclaimed audiophile that will describe all of the flavors that I can taste when playing a record. I will say it was easy to install the cartridge, looks great, and sounds great to my normal human ears. I will defiantly buy many more of them so I can use the same headshell with all of my cartridges. ... show more

I’m giving it 5 stars despite the screws being to short for this Denon DL110 cartridge that this was intended for. I feel it should come with a couple more sets of screws to accommodate taller carts, and maybe even a weight, but then again, cartridges typically include proper length screws(which the Denon did). The quality is very good. It’s sleek, and well balanced. It feels good in the hand. I’d like to see this in more colors besides silver and black. Red, and white would look fantastic. I’ll likely buy more of these. ... show more
