I purchased 2 pair 8 years ago from Tractor Supply (the same boot) and mostly wore one pair with the odd switch out on occasion. But mostly the one pair that I had to throw away from being worn down after 8 years, that’s great quality for me. I still have the other pair but I wanted to replace the ones I had to throw away. These are the most comfortable, waterproof- resistant (not sure which since my foot was half submerged for a few minutes and did not get wet inside), full support, great traction and LASTING boots I have ever owned. And not to mention they look good with quality leather and stitching. That says it all for me and I will be purchasing another pair just like it. ... show more

    • Most comfortable footwear I've had in a long time

I'm really happy with this pair of boots. Always wanted to try Ariat boots, ever since I read about them decades ago in EQUUS magazine when they were first developed. The price always put me off. Now I wish I'd made the investment sooner. I am 61, working in retail for the last ten years, on my feet all day standing and walking on concrete floors. My feet were screaming at the end of the day. I need a wide toe box but I don't have a wide foot overall, so I look for roomy toes in a B width. I've tried lots of different shoes over the last ten years with varying results. Started with EARTH , loved them overall, but could never get the same style twice. Then something changed in their manufacturing and they just weren't the same, caused me pain, ended up returning the last few pair. Then Merrell was recommended to me. Their barefoot and walking shoes have been the best until recently. The last several pairs just weren't up to the standard I was used to from them. Comfort didn't last. So I started searching again, tried some of the memory foam slip ons that are so popular with my co workers. They are good for a week or two, then they aren't. So I was browsing again. Considering KEEN, since I've had them recommended to me. Then I saw this pair of Ariat boots, at about half price. I read all the reviews and the thing that stuck out for me was the years some owners mentioned they'd been wearing the same pair in comfort. Also, that the toe box was roomy. So I made the investment, and boy am I glad I did. I ordered my regular size. I'm a size 8, but for work shoes I've found an 8.5 is best, gives me some extra room for my feet to swell a bit late in the day. Some reviews said they run large, others said true to size. Since no one said they ran small I decided to go with my usual 8.5. They arrived in two days. They are beautifully made. They fit just right straight from the box. I have plenty of toe room. I've been wearing them daily for a week now with a standard cotton crew sock and couldn't be happier. They are lightweight, supportive and so comfortable. At the end of the day my feet are so much happier, so much better than they've been in years. My only problem... I had a small blister on the top/side of the ball of my foot where I have an almost bunion, I thought it was from the side of the boot rubbing. Turns out there's a wad of thread at a stitch point below the last hole of the lacing. The only spot on either boot like that. Put a moleskin patch over it and no more blister. I'm really happy with these boots and I do recommend them. They are well worth the investment. ... show more

Got these boots in a 8 1/2 when I usually take a 9 in sneakers. Tried a pair on in a store and 8 1/2 fit perfect. Using them for horse work and horse riding. Super comfortable

I love this hiking boot and keep buying the exact same one when they wear out. The arch support hits me just right. These are cut wider than average, so even though I normally wear an 8.5 wide women's, in these I order just 8.5 women's. My foot is not super wide - just in the forefoot where these are built with a wide enough toe box for me. The water proof aspect is great, but this last pair I needed to apply some waterproofing right away, as the boot seemed to leak a little at the sole attachment to the boot on one of them. And one seam is right on the edge of the black material at the toe in one small spot for some reason - not typical for this boot. Added waterproofing should do the trick. I normally give it 5 stars, but only 4 this time for those little inconsistencies. ... show more

Just bought my 3rd pair. I wear these boots every day, every where, working around our property and my gardens, and going out for supplies. They are THE most comfortable work boots I've ever owned, leather, water-resistant, supports my ankles, with padded insoles. These boots should last forever; unfortunately they're just not puppy proof. A year ago, puppy chewed left boot. Bought another pair and puppy chewed right boot. So I'm currently wearing these boots from two different orders. I just ordered my third pair, in anticipation. Puppy is almost two, though, so fingers are crossed. ... show more

    • The left boot was very comfortable. The right boot somewhat uncomfortable.

Very disappointed. Have used Ariat brand for many years. Tried 2 pair. One was too wide I returned them. Ordered another pair and the right shoe is uncomfortable. Pain in the arch area. Need work boots so didn’t return them.

I was looking for a quality leather boot for hiking, riding and waterproof due to visiting Ireland in the fall. I was able to wear these boots right out of the box without a lengthy break-in period. Has been very rainy several times wearing resulting in dry feet each time. Style, fit and functionality are exactly what I was seeking.
