The BEST little first fishing rod for a child! I bought it for a niece when she was born she is now 3 and has used this so much! She has caught so many big northern pike fish and big walleyes on it and it never breaks, strong, sturdy great first fishing rod for all your littles in your life! We loved it so much and was SO impressed with the quality, smoothness, look, etc that we bought another one for her new baby sister so they can fish together! These fishing poles are perfect for kids to learn on! My two and three year olds got the hang of them in no time. They both can cast out easily. The no tangle tip is essential and works great. And I feel great that there is a plastic fish at the end instead of a hook, but I know when they get a little older we can just tie a hook onto this pole so they can catch real fish. Great value for hours of entertainment!

I know right? It’s not a cat toy, it is a fishing pole, for a small kid, but it makes a great cat toy too. Especially because it came with a toy fish that is perfect for learning how to tie on hooks and lures and practicing your casting. I love it. And the cat loves it. Sure you could use one of those cats toy that is like a little stick with something dangling from it but with this little fishing rod you can relax and just practice your casting from the comfort of the couch while you watch Netflix (or should I say Prime). I mean, it’s ultimate entertainment. I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for lightweight because I was a bit surprised by the heft of it but I am 63 and starting to feel some arthritis in my hands. Value for money hands down is an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I love catfishing and so does my cat. And I gave it just ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for durability because I’m sure if I sit on it I will break it. It is small enough to sit on so keep it put away on something you don’t sit on when not in use and you should be good.

Update 2025- We have friends over every summer to fish and this pole is still doing great! I won't post a picture of a kid who isn't mine but oh man this was used to catch a HUGE large mouth bass! It was a fight to reel in and when our buddy finally got it close enough to grab the line and lift that fish was massive! We were all losing our minds because the smallest pole caught the largest fish. It's our favorite fishing story to date. This little pole has certainly brought joy to many toddlers and preschoolers over the past few years and we'll keep it as long as possible. Original 2021- Bought this in June, it's almost the end of August now and this pole has been used almost daily (we have 2 ponds plus a creek). My son was a little over 3 feet tall and almost 3yo when he started using this pole and it has been an excellent size for him to use independently (we cast, he reels). He uses a small bobber and hook with bait, sometimes a lure just because he likes to reel and it's easier than watching those poor worms drag... 100% better than those store bought character poles and worth the money since we will definitely need it again for another year or so. My son has caught full size trout, bass, and sunnies (of course) using this little pole without any problems. It's lightweight and easy to use, no problems with the pole or string even after a few drops here and there. Definitely recommend!

This has been a great product for my toddler. He loves having his own pole, practicing casting and reeling in his casting fish. The reason for this review is recently my son’s casting fish broke off the line and vanished into the stream. He was so sad and bummed. I contacted Zebco through their website and within 2 days they had a replacement casting fish in the mail for my son. Absolutely incredible customer service. My son will be so grateful and excited when it arrives. Thanks to Zebco. Just absolutely awesome!

Got this for a 3 year old for offshore fishing. I cast and he was able to reel in. Personally, I think the reel worked very well. I know I’ll need to switch to a heavier line, but he’s first attempt at fishing was great.

This was around $7 so I didn't mind buying it because we use it so much it breaks but still took alot of play. I got two of them and now ready for third but now its $26 I may still buy it but I'm going to check around local and on line first. It did last a good amount of time with constant play.
