This thing is awesome! Really keeps the pool clean and only have to run it for a few hours a day. Took some planning to install but if you have some basic skills anyone could install this. Easy to put together pretty self explanatory. It's much bigger than the original filter but that a good thing. It can actually keep up with filtering the water, while running for much less time. Saving money on power and chemicals. Pretty stout construction. Works as it should. Very impressed.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this is August 2024 because our multi port filter head cracked at the hose connection to the pump and within 2 months the BRAND NEW multi port filter head cracked IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE-glad I purchased a 3 year warranty because they replaced the whole system-I also ordered 2 extra filter heads directly from the co because this is the 2nd time this has happened. Well, today we attempted to open our pool using the new pump/filter replacement and the filter head was cracked in the SAME EXACT SPOT-3rd time is a charm I guess, glad I purchased extra filter heads-I contacted the warranty co today, just waiting to hear back from them, fingers crossed they replace it again!?! I'll update if/when this takes place. On BOTH the filter heads I purchased from the co in the SAME EXACT SPOT there are 2 "seams" where the cracks are forming-I'm not sure if this is a flaw in the manufacturing but it is odd that we are on pump/filter #3 and filter head #4 and we have only had our pool since 06/21/2023...other than dealing with dripping leaks turning into spouting water shooting in different directions from the cracked filter heads, the pump and filter work without issues...

This filter is plenty powerful enough and easy to setup. Any buyers should beware that the kit is sent with only one adapter for the included hose rendering the pump unusable until a second is purchased separately. It doesn't make sense that the manufacturer would intentionally send it out to comsumers missing that adapter.

This is the perfect replacement for our 5500 gal. above-ground pool! We decided to get this one which is less than half the price of what the pool store wanted for their cheapest one! Easy setup, super quiet pump, and sturdy valve! Tips for newbies: 1) If you are unsure of how to replace your setup, consult Youtube. The manual is not user-friendly if you are unsure of what you’re doing. 2) Make sure a friend is around to help. Moving your old filter with 100lb of sand in it is not a one-person job! 3) make sure you add water to the new filter after you add the sand and prime the new pump (don’t start the pump without water in it). 4) The laterals on this one don’t fold up. You’re gonna have to assemble them while they are in the filter. 5) MOST IMPORTANT: this does not come with the hose adapters to connect the hoses to the valve! The valve uses standard 1 1/2 inch inlet/outlet adapters. Either use your old ones or if this is replacing a smaller unit, you will need these, (you need 3). 6) Make sure to put plumbers tape on each adapter that you put in the valve to seal it and prevent leakage. That’s it, we are enjoying our pool for another season!

Pattern Name: Sand Filter with 3/4hp Pump
Time will tell if this was a good investment. Have only been running it for two days now so it's still trying to clear up the pool. However, beware that the instruction manual is poor and written for another model so there are not some parts on this one that are mentioned in the manual. For example, it tells you to check the glass bubble to see if the backwash water is running clear yet. There is no backwash bubble on this model so you're left to just guess when you think it has backwashed enough. Also, the labels for filter, backwash, etc. are so tiny and pale you'll need magnifying glasses on to read it. They could have spent less time putting the words in five different languages and making one BIG word in English. I think everyone could figure out what backwash or filter means. Pros so far is that it is small so it doesn't take up much space and it's super quiet.
