  • Amazing SE Console to be SURE!!
I just received my Xbox One S Gears Of War 4 Limited Edition console yesterday. My son has an Xbox One (original) so I have played and am familiar with the platform. I have long since been a PlayStation consumer, this console has changed that. First of all MS, good on you for including TRUE 4K and HDR resolutions. Secondly, in a market where a 4K Blue-Ray player will cost you $300 easily, may as well pony up the little extra and get the player that includes a next gen gaming system. Sony missed the mark on those items with the "Pro" edition of the PS. I would also have to admit that the Xbox One S controllers feel more at home in the hand (in this humble man's opinion anyways). I love the controllers so much more than my Dual Shock 4's. Now for the special edition part: The first great benifit is the 2tb HDD. I was growing soooo tired of erasing 2 or 3 games every time I brought a new one home because my 500gb PS4 HDD was lackluster. 2tb should clear that problem right up Next order of business: That design is freaking sexy!! The red....the insignias.....the real scratches like this thing has been in battle.... Honestly I have been gaming since Atari, Comodore 64, etc. This is the first "Special Edition" ANYTHING I have ever purchased. I never saw the point in spending the extra dollars to get a console that is a different color or just comes WITH a game like ALL consoles USED to do. Well if you got the deal I did this gorgeous edition did not cost much if any more than what the standard editions did but, it was worth every penny. This is the sharpest special edition, nay CONSOLE of any kind period I have ever seen! The extra sound effects when ejecting a disk or shutting down the console was a nice touch I was surprised by as well. The controller has all the same design aspects that impress with the console, amazing. Also comfortable enough to game with for hours. The free included stand to set up you Xbox on it's side was great also. I have never seen the point in spending extra money to make it possible to stand my consoles on their side but now that someone thought to just give me one this is the first console in my household I have actually decided to change the orientation of and I like it. MS also did right by me by making this a "set top box" and including the ability to run your cable box through in series. Now when I am watching TV I can see my notifications on my console. It is also easier than ever to switch from games to TV. Also, I know there is a ton of stuff I still have yet to discover just as soon as I get that connect, which I never would have gotten if not for being able to voice control TV's and Cable equipment. Bottom line, worth the money even from the perspective is a "Former PlayStation Fan". Sony I am sorry, and I will be looking for PS5. For now however MS has a monopoly in this household on a ton of products now and I am pleased by this indeed! ... show more

  • Fantastic bundle for such a low price!
Absolutely well worth the money I spent (~$378). Not only it is a 2TB (Terabyte) Xbox: One S console, but it also comes with the pre-order content, the season pass, and full game of Gears of War 4 along with a beautifully designed controller. Yes, the scratches on the controller and Xbox are completely real and actually textures into both devices. It works great, came perfectly secure, shipped fast, and much less expensive than just the plain console on Xbox(dot)com; which is still $449 as I'm writing this. Now, I think this is just my controller, but the Xbox home button on the Gears of War 4 controller is a little broken in comparison with my other controllers. Double tapping the middle button twice opens up the menu at the side screen without retracting the game, but on the Gears controller, it kind of bugs out a bit and retracts the game to bring me to the full menu. I don't know if this is with all controllers but I guess it's a small complaint I have. Yes, I updated the console, all the games, and the controller itself but it doesn't fix it. It's still a very great controller, just the home button being a little poopy, I still manage. Yes, the controller has 2 ports on the bottom; a 3.5mm head-jack for headphones and the other thing-a-ma-bobber for the other headset. It also has a textured grip (but personally, I barely can tell when playing). I would say PLEASE take the deal. This is the cheapest and best bundle you will find anywhere with 2 day shipping (for prime members). I definitely recommend it with how the price is and what it includes total. ... show more

  • Controller is no good
First I'll start with the good things. This Xbox is great. Really loving the 2 TB and the look is awesome. It plays great for the most part, it did crash on me once though. The bad thing is the controller that came with the console. This controller looks so awesome, but it's just annoying. Right out of the box the X button was sticky. I thought maybe by playing a bit it would loosen up but no luck. Everytime I play Siege I sometimes die because my reload button is stuck in... That's not the worst though. The right analog started messing up on me about a few weeks ago. When I'm not touching the controller my aim will be slowly spinning. I guess the controller is registering that the analog is being pushed although nothing is pushing it. This is incredibly annoying when playing games where precise aiming is extremely relied upon, like Rainbow Six Siege. I stopped using this controller, and started using my other because of this issue only to find that the other was so much worse. I haven't had this console and controllers maybe two months, and it's not like these controllers are cheap either. I hope Microsoft knows about this issue and is working on a solution since controllers are essential to playing. I will update my review if anything changes or I receive any communication from the manufacturer. ... show more
