I've gotten this for many years from Wilton. I like to use real butter in my frosting. If I want my frosting to be white, this really helps. It's still not gonna be pure white with butter in it. However, it will look a lot better than without. I'm really happy I know about it. Crisco and shortening may give you pure white frosting, but it's just not as delicious as real butter in the frosting. In fact I really hate using it. There's nothing like real butter. I add white to all of my royal icing to prevent color bleed. Adding white to base icing before adding other color prevents the dreaded color bleeding through to other colors when icing/designing icing for cookies. Wilton is the better white color and most reasonably priced in my opinion.
