This brush is designed to be used on a cold grill. I use a steel brush on a hot grill to remove the majority of the gunk, then before cooking the next time I use this brush to clean any lingering small bits. A few swipes usually does it. This two brush system is very effective.

I tried using the Weber Cold Clean Grill Brush on cold grill grates as recommended, but unfortunately, the experience was far from effective. Instead of lifting debris off the grates, the brush mostly flicked residue around—much of it landing on me. By the time I was done, my hands, arms, and even my shirt were noticeably covered in grime. The brush didn’t do the job I expected, and I ended up switching to a different cleaning method to get the grates properly cleaned. Not only was it messy, but I also had to clean myself up and change clothes after the attempt.     • Not enough bristles.
Don’t buy if you have porcelain coated grill grates. Metal on porcelain is a no go. Unless you wanna scratch, chip, and have your grates rust. The OXO brush is awesome and those little plastic pan scrapers get into those tight spots this scraper was supposed to go. Forget about it. Weber needs to do better on this product. Needs more bristles so the metal wire can’t reach the porcelain grates. ... show more

Doesn’t work! I got this as a replacement from the Weber brush recall for the Weber brush I purchased on Amazon. It is a piece of junk. It does not clean well at all no matter how hard you scrape . I wish I could get my money back instead but they just instead gave me a brush that doesn’t work. Customer service is impossible to reach to lodge my complaint.
