They muffle the shots perfectly and the microphone works so well that you can have a full conversation with others at the range. I was able to coach my son easily while both of our ears were well protected. I was even more impressed that when I returned home, I could hear my children from my upstairs bedroom talking and make out the conversation, but when i removed them I couldn't hear them talking at all. These ear muffs are great. I love the fact that you can hear in the distance and others talking around you without feeling that you have to yell to be heard. Noise canceling function is great. I like the fact that they fold up compacted to store without taking up a lot of space

We purchased two pairs of the Walker’s Razor Slim Ultra Low Profile Compact — one for me and one for my husband — and used them during a very loud Monster Jam event. We couldn’t be happier with how well they performed. The sound reduction was excellent and made the event enjoyable without feeling overwhelming. They’re very comfortable to wear for extended periods and feel durable and well-made, not flimsy at all. I also like the slim profile since they don’t feel bulky or heavy and the foldable feature! I personally haven’t tried the Bluetooth features yet, but my husband has and he gives them great reviews for sound clarity and convenience. We will be using theses for their upcoming intended use “gun range” and we don’t foresee any concerns. Overall, great quality, reliable protection, and very comfortable. Im sure they work great at the range. But I got them for rock band rehearsal. As a musician, and when trying to tune your guitar, or adjust your amp. This is the time when your drummer will start beating the drums twice as hard as humanely possible. So when you're having a conversation and the drummer tries to give everyone tinnitus for christmas, these can help prevent that. These work great as hearing protection, but the music sound through the microphone is distorted, and it doesn't sound as good. These also make the bass frequencies more prominent, so they would be great for a bassist. I will update after a range session. ... show more
