I bought this for my 2 month old Chihuahua to begin a tooth brushing routine with her. This toothpaste came with a finger brush, as well as a long toothbrush that has a small brush on one end and a larger brush on the other end. I will probably never use either the finger brush or the larger brush as my Chihuahua is small, but that's okay. I followed the suggestion of first showing my dog the toothbrush and letting her sniff it so that she could become familiar with it. I also followed the suggestion to place a small amount of the toothpaste on the tip of the finger to let her taste it, again so that she could become familiar with it. It is now day 5 of me brushing her teeth and at first she was a bit hesitant and combative, but as the days went on she became more accustomed to it making it easier to brush her teeth. This toothpaste is a little pricey, but it seems to be worth it as my dog has no problem with the taste and given my dog's small size, I believe that it will be a good long while before the toothpaste is finished. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality toothpaste and brushing tools for their dog. ... show more

Didn't end up using the toothbrush this came with bc my pet I bought it for was my first kitten! :) I was so worried teaching him to brush his teeth would be an absolute nightmare from Hell... but to my surprise, he absolutely adores the flavor (I got him chicken)! He still squirms away when I try to cut his claws, but every night, I've been brushing his teeth with this and he never runs, not even an attempt at squirming away! Overall, I can't speak for the quality of the brush, but I did rub it with my fingers gently to feel how soft it was, and the slight give to the bristles wasn't bad at all! Easy to gold the brush, and the comfort for me and my kitten looks good to go when he gets older. For now tho, the quality of the toothpaste is top notch, very impressed by this product and will definitely come back for more! ... show more

Pros: Chicken Flavor Toothpaste: Dusty absolutely loves the chicken-flavored toothpaste. It makes the brushing process much easier and more enjoyable for both of us. Dual-Sided Toothbrush: The dual-sided toothbrush is perfect for all mouth sizes. It allows me to clean every part of Dusty’s mouth effectively. Complete Kit: The kit includes both a toothbrush and a fingerbrush, providing flexibility depending on what works best for your pet.     • A good brush oral hygiene kit for my dog

I have a very small dog, and it has been surprisingly hard to find a toothbrush that works for him. His teeth are tiny, about the size of a grain of rice. I ended up buying five different brushes plus a textured finger brush, and none of them worked very well. One day at a small dog meetup another dog owner showed me this brush. She let me try it on my dog and he actually did not seem bothered by it. That was a big surprise because he usually pulls away when I try to brush his teeth. With this set I was able to brush his teeth more easily. The size feels more manageable for a small mouth, and my dog tolerated it much better than the other brushes I tried. The kit also comes with poultry flavored toothpaste which helps make the process a little easier. Although I did notice his stool was a little loose today, so that is something I will keep an eye on to see if it continues or if it was just a one time thing. So far this is the first brush that has worked reasonably well for my dog. I am hoping it continues to work for us for a while. ... show more

this toothpaste rocks! my puppy is obsessed with it, he thinks its a special treat :) all I have to do is hold the toothbrush and let him go to town, or supervise him while he holds it (he’ll eat the toothbrush if left to his own devices). super easy to use! my puppy’s breath has zero smell, and his teeth are pearly white and plaque-free, so it seems to work very well. just make sure to clean the toothbrush and toothpaste tube really well after, as the toothpaste dries into a really hard gunk that can be tricky to remove. ... show more
