Pretty much the perfect bag. Not too big, not too small, black so it goes with everything. Can use as a shoulder bag or a crossbody. Machine washable. My only complaint is that the phone pocket is too small for an oversized phone. I'm using it to for sun glasses or readers.

If you love Vera Bradley but need something a little more elegant and toned down than the usual bold prints and bright colors, you will LOVE the black microfiber series. It still has a gorgeous black and white floral pattern lining it but the outside is a subtle diamond-quilted black microfiber material that I am obsessed with! This is truly a bucket bag, no compartments or large pockets on the interior. So if you like to have it all in one place, definitely a great bag. Gasp: I am typically not a huge Vera Bradley fan because I don’t really care for all of the crazy patterns. Until now I didn’t own a Vera purse because I prefer simple classic designs and colors. This crossbody purse with the classy quilted diamond crosshatch pattern is perfect for me. It does have a black and white floral pattern on the inside that I could do without but — its the inside so no one sees it. Honestly I just wish the inside were a black fabric because it would hide dirt better. Since this is made of microfiber, the bag is soft and very lightweight. This purse isn’t for someone who likes a bunch of compartments. It just has a top zipper and one inner zipped pouch, two non-zipped inner pouches in addition to one non-zippered outer pouch that you can throw your keys or cell phone to get at quickly.. The shoulder strap is adjustable so you can make it shorter. The strap is sewn on (non-removable) and is not padded). The size of the purse is 9x10” (to put that into perspective, a standard sheet of paper is 8x10”). This is a great bag to gather stuff for a trip out, throw it in the bag and take along — and when you get home you can throw it in the washing machine if needed. I like that it’s functional enough to serve that purposes yet classy enough looking to use at a dressier event. It is wider at the bottom so it will sit nicely on a table .. but that means it sticks out away from your body a bit when carrying it. Overall, I think that this is a very versatile bag and works well for those of you that don’t like your bags to scream VERA. (There is a name on the bag but it’s in black leather so it kind of blends into the bag). While the handle is utilitarian, the bag itself isn't as sturdy. This isn't the best value in terms of price / functionality, but you're paying for the Vera name, which adds value all by itself. ... show more
