I have worn various vans and never fully loved them (all platform and always felt bulky/heavy). I got these for lifting. I needed something flat and got these and a pair of converse. I really like how wide the toe area is on these versus the converse so I can use more of my foot to lift (I prefer barefoot lifting but some gyms don’t allow it). The suede gives these an ever cuter spin. They’re also super grippy which is awesome for the gym. I also ride my motorcycle in vans because of how grippy they are. I've been wearing Vans for most of my life and have just gotten use to the fact that they lack good arch support. That's what a pair of insoles are available for. Once they are broken in after a week or two I am able to wear these for 8+ hours at work. After the initial break-in and with a good set of insoles, Vans are by far my favorite shoes and are comfortable in my opinion. I will be a Vans customer for life. They run a bit small and I tend to have to buy a full size larger than what I normally wear. Again, another thing I have learned after years of wearing this brand. They arrived very quickly and in great condition. No issues that I could notice. The price was one of the lowest I have ever paid for Vans. I will definitely consider buying from this seller again even if it is in another year and a half before I wear this pair out until there are holes in them like I have with every other pair.
