This was worth it. So worth it. I live on the edge of a forest and my indoor cat has recently gotten a bit brave and wanted to explore. She’s brilliant and insistent, so this needed to be tough but also smarter than her. This snaps together, fits well, and took me about 5 minutes to build. I put it up and she can’t get through it and neither can my dogs. The only negative I can see with this is that the latch isn’t strong, so you can push and get about 2 inches of open space between the doors. I didn’t need it to open, so I just used the latch hook to secure the doors together. So far, I’m really happy with this.

Seems well made works for our application. Only problem we have had is the top and bottom separate when trying to open. Couple of zip ties and all good! No more problem. Easy to install and is allowing the airflow from our master suite to the rest of the house improving the performance and balance of our AC. Took our boxer about a day to figure out how to open and close it but she is way too smart for her own good and we expected it, a rubber band fixed it so she is no longer able to open the bottom latch. She could not reach the top latch but since the doors separate she was able to get through the door without any damage until we added zip ties between the top and bottom door, of course she managed to set the door at the proper angle so it did not close (only once). It has been a week and she has not been able to re-open it as long as we put the latch down.

I thoroughly hated putting this together. The instructions, warned by many people in the reviews, are very strange and make you feel like steps are missing. But, I did successfully put it up, it’s keeping the bite-y cat contained when I’m not home, and all is well. The extra bar really helps to make sure there’s no side she can squeeze through.

East to set up, worked great when we were introducing our new cat. Stowed in basement now, can pull it out for next cat or hopefully future grandkids. Didn't damage doorway at all.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I bought it to keep my cats on my porch, but I've of them is so determined! I caught her up on the rail one day and decided it would be safest to leave a space large enough for her to get past the gate, but small enough that no neighborhood dogs could get through if one chased her home. It will keep your cats contained, tho. I just didn't want to risk my little Houdini wannabe hurting herself trying to get out. When I first put it up, she took right to the challenge. She would sit and stare at, try every little gap, paw at the door, pace back and forth in front of it... she was going to find a way around the gate. My other two just loved that it meant they could safely enjoy the sunshine on their porch! Definitely worth the price.

All metal vertical bars, but the locks are cheap poorly made plastic with a single point of failure. I bought one of these gates in March, and both locks have snapped in half in the last three weeks. I was even careful in firmly holding each swing arm as I opened and closed the locks. Why in the world would you not make the most used part on the entire gate out of metal???? Worst part, yesterday, one of my cats snapped the lock arm off. Will I ever hear from the maker of this gate???

Good quality. Impossible to use directions. . I’m strong at assembling and directions were useless. I bought thinking the other reviews were maybe exaggerating-not. I finally just used the cover photo and after trial and error finally have it standing. The company needs to outsource for a useable instruction manual.

Nice tall gate to keep kittens out of upstairs bedrooms. We wanted to keep kittens out of upstairs bedrooms and this does the job well. Easy to put together and keeps them out no problem. I like that it's adjustable. We got the smaller version so it just opens to one side. It's a little expensive but the best option I could find for the space I needed it for. It's at the top of the stairs so I wanted a gate with no bottom piece. So this worked perfect! I recommend if you need a gate to keep animals out.
