Have had altenator installed in truck for three days now. So far it is working as it should and it is very quiet. The original altenator was working just fine but because it had been in use for over two hundred thousand miles I felt it was time to replace. Hopefully this new one will last as well. Shipping was very quick, however the delivery driver did not treat altenator too well, as the box was broken, and dented where the alternator bounced around. But despite that the alternator did not look damaged so I did not return it. The price was reasonable compared to the dealership, and other known brand names. All in all I am glad I made this purchase... Now it has been five months since I installed this alternator in my F150 and it is working as well as the first day. I continue to be satisfied and recommend this unit to anyone who needs a new alternator.

On December 26, 2024 i installed the TRQ ALA90180 alternator on my 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5S. I purchased this alternator through Amazon on December 20, 2024. Fast forward 5 weeks to January 30, 2025 and the alternator has failed. Was checked out my mechanic and verified it was only putting out 9.79 volts when if should be putting out 14 or more volts. Now the TRQ website claims they "hold our products to the highest standard, and our warranty is designed to ensure those standards are met. Complete the form below to register your TRQ part and we will provide a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty covering the cost of the product. Please note, this warranty does not cover any damage, labor, or other inconveniences incurred. I registered my product as instructed. Now for the problem. When requesting a replacement product because they have such a generous warranty pledge, the online form fails to process. Each of the 10 times I completed the warranty request and submitted an error message came up "Sorry, something went wrong refresh the page and try again". It would seem that you can make generous warranty claims when you do not have to stand behind them especially when customers are not allowed to make a request. I will not be purchasing any more parts from TRQ and would recommend no one else purchase anything from them as well. Off to buy ANOTHER alternator from a LOCAL auto parts store. $200.00 down the drain....

The media could not be loaded. Make/Model: 2000 Toyota Camry LE 4 Cyl 2.2 5S-FE Engine, 350k+ miles Diagnosis: OEM Denso Alternator replacement due to intermittent battery indicator, especially when the AC is on. Battery tested at 80% core condition—ruled out as NOT the issue. I recently installed the TRQ Alternator in my 2000 Toyota Camry, and it’s been a solid upgrade overall. The alternator fit perfectly, required no modifications, and was straightforward to install. However, the first unit had a squealing issue whenever the alternator drew more current, especially noticeable when the radiator fan kicked in, suggesting it couldn’t fully handle the load. Amazon customer support responded quickly, and the replacement alternator has been running smoothly without any squealing. Since then, my car’s electrical system is stable, with a noticeable improvement in battery charging. The build quality is great for the price, and it feels reliable. I reused a relatively new Bando 5PK1110 serpentine belt, dressed with 303 Aerospace protectant to keep it in good condition, and after final adjustments, I followed a YouTube tutorial on “how to tighten a drive belt perfectly every time” and torqued the bolts to manufacturer specifications. If you’re looking for an affordable and effective alternator replacement, I’d recommend this option. Just watch for any initial signs of squealing and exchange if needed. Overall, it’s a solid choice for Toyota Camry owners!

2004 Honda Element EX - this bolted right in and seems to work well - reported voltage range is 12.7 to 14.6 according to OBD interface using Torque application on phone. This is not a trivial job to swap on a Honda Element if it's your first time. Seems easy enough in theory - three bolts, a couple of wiring connections and serpentine belt remove/install. It absolutely is possible for DiY, but lower two bolts are a challenge to get to - and moving the belt tensioner to remove/reinstall serpentine belt can be a real bear. None of this is fault of alternator, it's just the realities of Honda Element engine layout. Hopefully this will be a part with durability - I prefer to not repeat the installation any time soon. Time will tell whether or not this the lower-price TRQ aftermarket product was worth putting my trust into. I have had good experiences with a handful of other TRQ branded parts thus far.

Purchased the alternator for my Honda Odyssey in May and it stopped working in December. LESS THAN A YEAR. Very short life. it was described as 1 years warranty, BUT THE COMPANY IS NOT RESPONSIVE AT ALL. Purchasing it was a big mistake. It was expensive but low quality.
