I’ve used this chainsaw moderately for the past year and a half. I used it heavily several times cutting fallen trees after a hurricane. It’s been worth its price and then some. I started it up with one pull after sitting for several months. It just works and It’s been a nice budget surprise.

I like this chain saw. The only issue I have found the chain wasnt strong enough to go through bigger trees. Easy enough to change to a heavier chain. Good value.

    • Worked for 1 hour customer service sucks
I bought this unit and followed the instructions EXACTLY as indicated in the owners manual. Used fresh gasoline and mixed it with the oil that was provided with the unit and it worked for 1 hour. I turned the unit off for 5 minutes to get a drink and the unit would not start again. Called customer support and they were basically of no use and wanted me to drive an hour 1 way to have it repaired with no fuel reimbursement. I purchased a 2 year warranty with the unit which is totally worthless. I will NEVER buy a Troy-Bilt product again if this is the level of "service" that they provide. Unless you have money that you do not need and want to just give to a company then DO NOT BUY THIS CHAINSAW!!! ... show more

I shopped a long time to the point of frustration to find a resonable chainsaw. Ive used this about a dozen times and so far am happy with it. Keep in mind it does not have high power to rip through 18 in logs so dont expect that. It does seem to perform as good as others this size and a much less cost. Starts good every time so far. great saw but I had to take the carborator apart three times the first day of use to clean the saw dust out. the filter doesn't seal to the carborator as it should.
