This is a great hard cover book. We are starting to research timber frame homes to build our own, and this book very informative and includes pictures. This book gave my husband some ideas that he hadn't considered yet, and that says a lot for a man who thinks about our new home every single day.

Great book with a good mix of design fundamentals and modern building techniques. If you want to build a drafty old timber-frame barn, look else where. This book is all about a modern energy efficient timber-frame that will last for the next 200 years. Good descriptions of how to handle all the major house systems from the foundation to plumbing and electrical. I am getting ready to build a timber-frame and would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to build one. ... show more
