I just received my UncleHu telescople and right away you can tell a lot of quality went into the design and packaging. First off it arrived in an Amazon shipping box, then a plain brown protective box, and then bam full color retail packaging! This alone makes it gift wrap ready! Surprise number 2 is a carry case that holds everything including the tripod, and a separate zipper pouch to keep the lenses! Inside every piece is individually wrapped in plastic that is easy to remove. It took me under 10 minutes to put it together with zero previous experience with telescopes. The instructions were clear and I went outside to calibrate the spotting scope with my 4 year old son. (Remember the spotting scope is inverted so everything is upside down and flipped) but once you get used to it it’s easy to calibrate. Just do it in daylight. I used a telephone pole as per the instructions. If I had any quirks about the telescope is the tripod tightening method. It works but as you tighten it the telescope shifts out of position a little bit. Not a big deal as it still works for it’s intended purpose and won’t make to much of a difference on large objects like the moon. The included cellphone mount paired along with the stargazer app will make finding objects in space a breeze anyway. The tripod also comes with an accessory tray which locks on tight and holds the spare lens and caps securely. The telescope also has standard quarter inch threads on the bottom so it can be used with any available tripod on the market. I 100% recommend this telescope and already started looking around for Canon RF mount accessories so I can attach my Canon R5 II and take 8k videos of the moon.

Bought this one after returning another one. The first one attached the big scope with a tiny screw that was never going to hold! This one is very nice, sturdy attachment. Just starting to use it.

I recently bought the UncleHu telescope, and I've been very happy with it. Assembly was simple because of the clear instructions in the manual, and all (eyepieces, Barlow lens, finder scope, tripod, and even a phone adapter) came with it. The tripod feels solid, and I like the fact that the altazimuth mount gives smooth motion in any azimuth or altitude. The optics are really quite good for a first-scope. During the day, I used it to look at trees and birds, and the image came out nice and sharp. In the evening, it's great for viewing the Moon — I had excellent definition on the surface with a really close up picture. The eyepieces that come with it (K25mm and K10mm) give different magnifications, and the 3x Barlow lens helps to add zoom when I want closer views. The finder scope did take some adjusting, but once adjusted, it made it a lot simpler to target. I also tried using my phone with the adapter, and it was a decent method for recording and taking pictures of what I was viewing. Overall, this telescope is an excellent choice for beginners and casual stargazers. It’s affordable, portable, and gives a really enjoyable introduction to astronomy. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to explore the night sky without spending a fortune.

This is a good starter telescope for those interested in nature, seeing the moon's craters, or close planets. The aiming scope has crosshairs to make it easier to have the main scope have the desired object in view. 2 different magnification eye pieces as well as a Barlow magnifier are included. 2 phone mounts are also included, one on the outer body to use an app to find the stars and planets, and another to be able to take pictures through the telescope. A travel bag is also included to make it easy to get to where you want to set everything up and keep it handy with everything in one place. Setup was easy and quick, the tripod is very sturdy, and the main tube of the telescope is metal, so it wont flex. This is a high quality beginner telescope.

It's easy to assemble,but it doesn't work. Can't see anything with the lens on. It's more frustrating that we were so excited to use this piece of trash, and it was blurry or all black. Returning it. Also had to pay extra for the stupid box, when returning it, so don't throw away the box, because when you return it , you'll need it or spend an extra $12 at UPS.
