  • Best for fungus gnats
The only reliable , tried and true method of gnat annihilation. Water with some mosquito bit tea, and repeat twice. Sticky trap adults, and problem solved. Smells like farts but the trade off is worth it.

  • Used to get rid of Plant Gnats!!!
Using it in conjunction with Gnat Sticky Traps it can take care of the problem 100%. Ugh, ya know you have a problem when those PESKY things start making a flight pattern around your face aaaand you're at your wits-end when one lands INSIDE your nose. SMH x billion!! I was solely using the Sticky Traps and catching A LOT, but they're still hatching!! So I reached out to my IG Guru (@ohiotropics), according to him, they lay the eggs within the top 2 inches of the dirt. He said; lower the amount of water, cover the surface dirt with Mosquito Bits and use the traps. SERIOUSLY, the population seem to decrease almost immediately. Instead of drenching the soil, I sparingly wet the surface for the first couple of weeks... the smell can be a bit much but well worth seeing the results. My sticky traps were covered in gnats on both sides!! A month later (possibly sooner) I am almost 100% gnat-free after using 4-traps and one treatment of Mosquito Bits!!!! Side note: In my experience w/office plants, they can lie dormant or come back yearly so be prepared!! ... show more

  • Weapon of Gnat Destruction
I bought this to deal with fungus gnats on my houseplants. I first tried letting the plants dry out but some can't tolerate it as well. Then I tried cinnamon which helped quite a bit. A few plants were still fairly infested so I treated them with diluted hydrogen peroxide. Things have been going well for a couple months but I got some infested potting soil and new plants and they started their resurgence. I decided extreme measures were necessary and added this product to the fray. I steeped about 2 cups of these in a large watering can (just over a gallon). I then watered all the plants outside. THAT WAS WAY TOO MUCH. I should've done more research and used less because all my pothos, my monstera, and one variety of dieffenbachia all have black bacterial infection spots. They'll recover, but I used too much. If I ever reapply I'll use less as my other pothos I sprinkled pellets on has fared well. Noticed a significant increase in gnats within 24-48 hours. Try steeping a tablespoon, not cups, and you'll be fine. Update: a few weeks have gone by since I treated and I haven't seen one gnat ... show more

  • Works on Fungus Gnats in Potted Plants
I use this with nearly every watering of my indoor houseplants. It definitely helps keep fungus gnats at bay.

  • Causes mold on plants, but kills gnats
Be careful with this stuff. I did the whole steeping tea thing, then a few bits onto the soil and now I’m batteling white mold. It’s everywhere. I had to go online, find a recipe for mold killer, and be on the look out for mold. It’s week two and I’m still finding mold everywhere because of this stuff. I may lose some plants because of the bath i gave them to get rid of the mold. I do see less gnats, maybe a couple here and there, but now I have mold lol. I don’t know if I would buy this product again. I’m going to try to find something that is organic and doesn’t cause mold. ... show more

  • Mosquito Bits REALLY works!
I purchased the Summit Responsible Solutions Mosquito Bits to help get rid of fungus gnats which apparently came with a couple of herb plants purchased from Home Depot. The plants were outside along with several others I had purchased, but the herbs were intended to be grown indoors which caused a massive fungus gnat problem. This product is AMAZING! While it doesn't immediately wipe out the infestation, it is a great tool along with other remedies. The life cycle of the fungus gnat has a lot to do the time it takes to make a dent. The Mosquito Bits takes care of larvae, but you will need other stuff to take care of the other stages. Good stuff. ... show more

  • Gets rid of fungus gnats!!
I had been dealing with fungus gnats that came in from a new plant for about 2 months. I tried a few natural remedies that helped but didn’t get rid of the gnats. All of my plants are in my office because it’s the sunniest room in my house, but this left me with annoying gnats flying in front of my camera while I was on Zoom. I followed the instructions on the bag and added 4 tablespoons of Mosquito Bits to 1 gallon of water. Let it soak for 30 minutes and then strained out the mosquito bits. I watered all of my indoor plants with this one time and it was a night and day difference. I watered on a Friday and came upstairs to only 1 or 2 gnats on Monday morning! I will be watering with this again and I think that will finally get rid of all of the gnats! I would highly recommend this stuff for fungus gnats!! All of my plants seem to be happy and otherwise unaffected by the mosquito bits. ... show more
