The DRS (Defendu Reflex Sight) is so versatile and effective at close range, we’ve named it after the famed Lt. Colonel William Ewart Fairbairn whose Close Quarters Combat system was designed to rapidly disable an opponent with potentially lethal force. Perfect for tactical operations or home defense, the 1x reflex sight offers three reticles calibrated for speed and accuracy at 7, 25 and 50 yards. The ultimate CQB sight, it is built with Steiner’s legendary ruggedness. Lightweight, compact and simple to use. Window size is .96 x 1.26 in. (height x width). The overall height is 2.57 in., and it sites 2.35 in. above the rail. The C2 reticle has three options (see image in photo gallery): a. Singe dot b. Dot and stadia lines c. This optic has the cleanest, clearest vision or sight picture of any of it's competitors that I own. I have a UH-1, a Promethean, a Romeo8T to compare it with. I love the reticle and I love the clean view. The amber reticle is perfection!

When i received the red dot, it looked like it was already used and the seal stickers on the box were already cut. Then i installed the provided batteries and it did not turn on. I put new batteries i had and still did not turn on. Got anther set of new batteries and still does not turn on. I read the instruction and nothing. I am not happy, and i was so looking forward to this site!!! ... show more

I currently own 2 and getting a 3rd. Some reviews might be right about getting used ones, or maybe they are Chinese clones. Cause the ones I have work well in all conditions. Steiner is German, you want cheap, buy China garbage.

Update Below!!!! For starters I’m not overly enthused about the price, but buy once cry once. This optic is incredibly versatile and if you take care of it you’ll be fine. The double A batteries are easy to find and a whole pack is cheaper than other optic batteries, so I don’t get the hate for the battery life. I friggin love this thing and I’ve yet to meet someone I’ve shown it to who doesn’t feel the same. For someone who shoots with both eyes open the field of view is incredible. One of the clearest optics I’ve ever owned. The price is my only bitch and any other optic that’s this size and this durable is gonna be around the same price. 4 stars. Update: STOPPED WORKING WITH LESS THAN 1000 Rounds through it. Sent it to Steiner for the warranty, still havnt gotten it back 4 weeks later, and before I sent it, I’d never so much as looked at it sideways let alone anything close to making the reticle just moonwalk high right. Very sad with what was originally in my mind a great purchase. ... show more

This sight is almost completely useless in bright sunlight. Steiner customer service just responded that this sight is primarily for indoor or night vision use and not intended for use under daylight conditions. Do not purchase for outdoor use!
