Our son LOVED this for his birthday present (4 year old). It’s really great. The only drawbacks are the noise level and durability. It is a really loud toy, which is to be expected but it would be nice if there was volume control on it. We just gave it to him at his party yesterday and there was lots of playing with it and the mouth has already stopped working/moving. It was probably played with a little too hard, but I wish it wouldn’t have broken so easily. It’s a great price though. ... show more

Ordered one for our 3 year-old grandson in May and it was a HUGE hit. The battle part is cool, but I think he likes the dancing option the best. Who wouldn't love a dancing, musical dinosaur? Easy to use and navigate with the big buttons on the RC - takes a lot of batteries, but they last a long time through daily use. He liked it so much and his 5 year-old brother and 5 year-old cousin both wanted to play. I ended up buying 2 more for the older boys on their birthdays in June and July. The nephew loved his dinosaurs. I purchased the brown and the green T-Rex. Each dinosaur requires 3 AA batteries, which are installed in the separate tail section. ( Be sure to tell the kids to pick up the dinosaur by the body and not the tail, as the tail will become loose and lose connection.) The remote requires 2 AA batteries and is very kid friendly. It was very easy for them to use. A small Philips screw driver is included so you can easily open the tail & remote for battery installation. The dinosaurs light up, roar, walk, dance & have a mode where the arms move as well. This was a good purchase. ... show more

This would have been a great toy for my grandson except for a major problem. The tail, which holds the batteries, is a separate piece from the body - presumably to facilitate installation of the batteries. Unfortunately, the mechanism that is supposed to secure the attachment of the tail to the body is poorly constructed and weak, resulting in the tail - and the batteries - separating from the body far too easily. In fact, it would become disconnected after just a few steps or any time the toy was handled. My daughter was going to try to superglue the two pieces since my grandson absolutely loves the toy. Haven't heard if this was successful yet. I was tempted to leave a one-star review due to the problem, but the toy may be fixable and if so will be heavily used. ... show more
