My mom had a stroke and was having a hard time remembering what time it was and what day of the week it was so I got her this clock. We had a similar one for my father-in-law before he died in 2022, and I guess I should have kept his. (We ended up donating it to the assisted living facility he was living in. I got it for him because he got very mixed up on his time if it was 6 p.m. and dark, he wasn't sure if it was daytime or evening in the winter.) The clock has been very useful for my mom. I haven't noticed the dimming feature nor have I tried setting the alarms. But the clock function is very nice, especially having the day of the week and time of the day on there. We use the "default" look (white text on black background) and it's very easy to read. Setting the clock was fairly simple. I may end up getting her a second one for her bedroom, but this one (used in her TV room) keeps her on track for the most part.

This clock has really improved our lives. It has a clear and quality display with very large and easily date and time. Easy to set up and change, a back-up battery so that it keeps its place during a power outage. This really does help dementia patients understand more easily when you can just point to the clock and use it to help explain the daily routines. Also, it has alarms for remembering medications. I wish I had splurged on the largest one but this one is quite nice.

I definitely like the clock. A well-thought-out concept. Practical and easy to use. The only things I would criticize: even the lowest dimmer setting is still too bright for my wife, so she turns the clock towards the wall to reduce the amount of light it emits. The yellow version is more discreet, but not everyone likes this color. Therefore, a wider range of colors (such as blue) would be desirable. Finally, if there is a power outage, the display also disappears. The included battery only provides enough power for the memory function, so all settings are saved and displayed again as soon as the power outage is resolved. The clock should remain functional and be equipped with batteries that allow the screen display to be viewed.

I bought this for my Dad and I and they are wonderful clocks! My Dad has dementia and kept getting confused on what day it was even when he was marking the days off on a calendar now he has no trouble knowing what day it is! My Dad says this is his "million dollar" clock he loves it that much and said he wishes he'd have had it years ago! I like that it resets after a power outage and when the time changes. I highly recommend this clock!
