Was in search for a deodorant for my teen and me and was looking for something that doesn't have any major bad ingredients (without harmone disruptors , unwanted fragrance). This 'Rio Deo' version has a nice scent, smells fresh and goes smooth, does leave a white cast on clothes though if you end up using a little extra. The fragrance ingredient used is 'Linalool' a fragrance allergen which is considered low risk in EU standards. US has slightly different standards so doesn't count as per my research.

Love how it smells, love how it feels, love that it doesn't irritate my skin like some do or get that funky smell as the day wears. I never felt like I get that smelly so I can't attest too much to it's effectiveness, but so far I haven't had bad smells or sweat smell -so must be working? It's expensive but it seems to last a while as it's a good size bar and doesnt take much to put on. I also love the container it is in, it has a screw top and feels really secure to travel with. They also provide straight refills so you can keep using the container and save earth the extra junk.

I’ve been using the purple Sol de Janeiro deodorant (Cheirosa 68) and the scent is absolutely amazing. It has this sweet floral and tropical vibe that makes you feel fresh and clean right away. The fragrance is strong when you first put it on, and I love that it matches the body spray. The formula is smooth and glides on easily without any irritation, and I really like that it’s aluminum-free. My only complaint is that it does not last all day for me. I usually have to reapply at least once, especially if it’s a hot or busy day. Overall, I still really like it for everyday use, especially when I want to smell good and feel a little extra. If you don’t mind reapplying, it’s definitely worth trying.

If you like long reviews, this will be the one for you. The scent of this is amazing. I had never used or smelled any products from this brand before purchasing, and I wasn’t too sure if I’d like it. I do consider this scent to be long lasting. Currently, I’ve had it on for over 12 hours and I can still smell it. It’s not going to be strong enough to act as a perfume for the day, but it might interfere with the scent of your perfume for an hour or two after application if you have on a tank top or dress. To those who hate fragrance, this is NOT the product you’re looking for. The consistency is interesting - kind of like a thick hair pomade. I was expecting it to be slick (think Kopari, Dove Zero Aluminum or the Old Spice blue gel deodorants) due to the coconut oil. I was pleased to find it wasn’t. I was not pleased at all with coconut oil being an ingredient due to its comedogenic properties. However, I have not had any issues yet. I see a lot of people mentioning only needing to use a tiny bit. This is not the case for me. I probably use 5 light swipes of this stuff under each arm in order to get adequate protection. Keep in mind, though, that I struggle with most deodorants. If it’s usually smooth sailing for you, you could probably use less. I don’t find that this lasts all day. Sometimes it will last through a workout, and sometimes it won’t (more often not). There has never been a day I’ve worn this where I’ve truly smelled bad, though. That’s more than I can say for most aluminum-free deodorants I have tried. Overall, this is my second favorite one I’ve ever tried. In total, I believe I’ve tried around 6 aluminum free deodorants thus far. However, I won’t be repurchasing. The price for the amount of product and lacking longevity is just not reasonable - I would rather spend the money on the body spray in this scent or another one of their products. I think the price point is very high for a deodorant, and it doesn’t live up to the price point. One other thing to keep in mind - this gets on EVERYTHING. I am no stranger to stick deodorants leaving white marks - it’s what they do. I’m very careful about getting dressed/changing/when I apply the deodorant to avoid this, but it hardly helps. The white marks wash out, but it’s annoyingly more frequent than with any other deodorant I’ve worn. I also experience a lot of pilling with this deodorant, but maybe that’s just solely because I’m applying more than they recommend.

Great smell! It's the only deoderant that works well for me. I can't stand the smell of most deoderants & perfumes with my body chemistry (it changes scent). But Rio Deo doesn't change smells after applyed. Its the same delicious smell before & after, and it lasts. The only thing I would change is the consistency ( a bit too sticky, imo) & how the white rubs off on clothes. But its worth it for the scent & how well it works. I've purchased multiple times.
