It sounds great and has good booms. You can't beat the price and you can't go wrong with samsung. My only thing that's a minimal in complaints is the sub doesn't fully shut down when turned down to -12. Would be nice for an option to completely shut of the subwoofer. I don't regret buying this at all and I love it regardless of the small complaint. Update: it still works after spending alot of time with it. It has a very weird sound glitch which is very loud and sounds like an audio spike screech and it's very bazaar. It stops when I mute and un mute. Other than that it's fine for the money.

Im using the HW-A450 soundbar with my Series 7 Samsung TV (2019 model) I love the quality of the sound for the price. Setup was easy. The subwoofer synced to the soundbar by itself. My only complaint is that when using the optical connection I can't use the TV's remote to control the volume, the only way to do that is by using the Bluetooth connection which had a delay and the quality of sound wasn't as good. I decided to not sacrifice on sound quality and use the soundbar remote for volume control. I'm disappointed that I even had to make that choice. I can't stand having to keep up with a second remote. My other soundbar is a Samsung Hardon Kardon that connected to the TV using HDMI. I was able to get high quality sound AND use the TV's remote on this same TV, and my newer 2020 8 Series Samsung. If you don't mind having to keep up with a second remote then this A450 soundbar is an excellent choice. If I had known I was going to have this issue ahead of time I'd have just spent the extra 50$ and bought the A550 that is HDMI capable. Still contemplating returning and upgrading.

I purchased this sound bar to use with my Samsung TU-8000 TV. Sound does not sync when watching cable TV programs. Works fine with other 3rd party providers such as Netflix. I have called Samsung support multiple times and my TV cable provider with no satisfactory results. Have to turn sound bar off when watching cable TV. Very unhappy after spend almost $1000 on TV and sound bar. I am upgrading my rating as I solved the sync problem and it was not a soundbar problem. The sound is great and I love the bass.

If you are not tech savvy this soundbar may frustrate you. First thing you are going to want to do is get it connected. After that you will need to figure out how to set the soundbar for optical or connect with bluetooth. Bluetooth is horrible you want to go with digital optical. The sound bar has a small LED panel which you can toggle through the very short menu to adjust the bass, treble, and audio delay. I put my delay on 0 and the sound matches with the persons mouth as they talk so that was easy. On your tv, I have a 65" Crystal UHD 4k curved Samsung, you will want to go into settings then sound then set the output to optical and you will also want to set HD output to 16bit instead of automatic and you can adjust the color of the tv and I have mine set to warm 2 and bumped up sharpness and contrast. I also set video to dynamic which makes the colors really pop and I kept the sound set at standard instead of dynamic or game. Now watching a movie in my living room is like watching a movie at the movie theater. People giving the soundbar a low review probably had technical difficulties as in they don't know how to navigate the settings.

Well, this was a decent buy - the box speaker didn’t work that great. You could only hear very low base coming from that speaker, but not enough to listen to words being spoken. I wouldn’t purchase this item again.

I am stoked. My living room is not super large but it joins the kitchen & I like to hear movies while I cook. The sound fidelity is great. Prior, I had just the tv speakers (2017 TV) and no sub. I’m really impressed. Highly recommend for the price, easy to set up except the remote. The remote hates me. Fortunately it hates other people too because u found a useful YouTube video on how to open it to put in batteries….that took me a minute. Sound is awesome, remote is a vindictive meanhead & is now in time out.
