This is a great bag. Exceeded expectations. I almost didn't get this bag because of a few reviews that said that the main compartment being accessed through the back, which is an intentional design for anti-theft purposes, was awkward for day-to day use. I don't really "need" anti-theft because I don't live somewhere that pick pockets are a problem. But, I liked the bag, so I got it. I am so happy I did. First of all, the leather is SO soft. As a result, the bag is roomy, but doesn't look bulky. It is really attractive. The biggest thing that makes the awkwardness a non-issue for me is the fact that the two side pockets, which are easily accessible from the front, are definitely roomy enough to hold things you are likely to need to access when you are on the go: wallet, car key, lip balm, breath mints, pens, etc. I keep my sunglasses in one of the side "bottle pockets," which works great. I realize that if I ever need the anti-theft configuration, I would not keep my wallet and car keys in the front pockets because of how easy they are to access, but, like I said, in my day to day life, this is a non-issue. My other hesitation was about the non-leather portion of the straps looking cheesy, but they are actually fine, and I think look nice. You really can't tell, or don't notice, because they are a deeply dyed black and so blend nicely. Finally, I really like the top handle. It doesn't look obtrusive, but is a convenient way to move it in and out of my car, rather than searching for one of the straps. It really is an almost perfect bag for my needs.

I was looking for a stylish purse/backpack for an upcoming trip abroad. I debated going with a similar style, more reasonably priced faux leather bag. So glad I didn’t. The S-Zone bag is absolutely beautiful and well worth the few extra dollars!!!! The leather is soft and the hardware and straps are high quality. I’ve been using this backpack for a week to test it out prior to my trip. It’s the perfect size not too big or small. It holds my iPad, phone, charger and cord, small makeup bag, hand sanitizer a comb, scrunchie, a pack of gum, compact umbrella, and small water bottle. I was worried that the backpack straps would slip but so far they stay in place. I also love the back loading security feature to prevent anyone reaching into my bag in crowded places. Love, love, love, this bag!!! I originally purchased the brown , a week later I bought a second one in black! Update: This bag was beyond filled every day for my 3 week Italy vacation. It kept its shape and the seams held up. Besides the items above items I also carried around a shawl, small map book, cel battery pack, passport, an oversized wallet, sun hat, and whatever small trinket I found at a gift shop. I was surprised at how many things I could fit in the backpack (see pic). The straps were comfortable and never loosened on me. The security feature of the main compartment zipper being in the back gave me peace of mind. I never worried about my belongings at crowded areas like tourist attractions or on public transportation. Beyond happy with the purchase highly recommended!

Overall this is a nice quality bag. I wanted to show the difference in the types of leathers used for each color. On the left is the "Cognac" color, which shows more of the leather textures, marks/scuffs etc. Overall, it looks more "natural", "vintage", and "classic", in my opinion. The edges are left raw, and the straps are a soft material -- cotton twill maybe? It's more red-toned. The brown color (on the right) used a much smoother leather. The texture is very minimal, and the color is very uniform all over (no variations). It is more orange toned. It also used a shinier ribbon for the straps (like a very tightly woven nylon), and some sort of black coating on "edging". Overall, I thought this one looked more "sleek" and "modern". The black edge coating alllllmost made it seem like this could be artificial leather. It says it's real, but...I suspect this edging will be prone to wearing and flaking much faster than the raw edges of the cognac colored bag. I think the straps on the brown will hold up better than the softer straps on the cognac...however, the brown ones feel like they'll be less comfortable (more "sharp" or digging in) when weighed down with a very heavy bag on bare shoulders. So really, which color you should choose will depend on which kind of "style" or texture of leather you prefer. If you like more "authentic vintage", or "natural" looking, go with Cognac. If you look smoother, sleeker, more modern (and mayyyyybe even a little more artificial looking, due to the black coating on the edging), go with the other shades, like brown (the brown is also cheaper than the cognac right now).

So, I love bags. And with EVERYTHING I buy, I research a lot of products because I like getting things that work well and that will last for a long time. I wasn't sure if I'd like this bag or not. I personally find it to look better in person than in the pictures amazon has! The hardware is of good quality, and the zippers are also of very good quality. The lining doesn't feel "cheap", and the leather isn't stiff. It's no dooney and bourke leather, but I still like it quite a bit, especially at this price range! Keep in mind that this bag is anti-theft and opens from the back, because your items will fit differently in this bag. I can't fit as many items in this as a normal purse. The ONE thing I wish is that the backpack straps had more cushioning because they really doesn't have any.
