  • Beautifully Tragic Tale of Loss and Love
Format: Paperback
Reminders of Him completely wrecked me. I cried, I laughed, and at times I just had to sit with the emotions it stirred up because they felt so real and so earned. This book isn’t just a love story; it’s a story about grief, regret, forgiveness, and what it means to keep going when you’re carrying the weight of your worst mistake. Colleen Hoover writes with such emotional precision that it feels less like reading and more like experiencing someone’s life alongside them. The characters are deeply human, flawed, aching, hopeful, and their pain never feels exaggerated or performative. Every emotion lands because it’s honest. What moved me most was how the story balances heartbreak with moments of warmth and even humor. Just when the sadness felt overwhelming, there were scenes that made me smile or laugh through tears, reminding me why love and connection are still worth fighting for. This book stays with you. It lingers in the quiet moments after you’ve finished the last page. Reminders of Him is beautifully written, emotionally raw, and unforgettable… a reminder that healing is messy, love is complicated, and redemption, while never easy, is always worth reaching for. ... show more

  • I’m not a CoHo fan whatsoever, but this was very good. The pigeons!
Format: Kindle
Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover - I’m not usually a CoHo fan, but Reminders of Him genuinely surprised me. I finished it in one day and was completely wrecked—yes, I cried. The story is raw, emotional, and deeply gripping from start to finish. THE PIGEONS!! The dual points of view made the heartbreak even more powerful, allowing me to feel both sides of the pain and loss. Kenna’s journey as a mother trying to reunite with her daughter after serving time in prison is heartbreaking yet hopeful. Her guilt and determination felt painfully real, and Ledger’s protectiveness added so much tension and emotional depth. The characters felt flawed and human, and the emotional weight of their struggles kept me turning pages. The plot had just the right balance of sadness and hope, and the ending wrapped everything up beautifully. Overall, this was a powerful, heartfelt, and unforgettable read—one I’d absolutely recommend to anyone who loves emotional, character-driven stories. ... show more

  • Enjoyable read
Format: Kindle
I like to read the book first before seeing the movie. There were times when I found myself saying " I wasn't expecting that." The twists and turns made me want to keep reading.

  • Best novel and best author
Format: Paperback
Who would it know as someone who has TDAH, I finish this book in less than a month which to my surprise I never finish a book but the story and how the author gives life to everyone in it and the details make it picture a real life events ,anyways it was a sad, funny and a happy novel of a real life story for a lot of mothers and maybe fathers out there who can relate to it ; I chose to read this novel for the first time because a friend of mine showed me the upcoming movie and I was like that’s interesting like I would like to know the book (real version) and to my surprised I loved it , make me cry , laugh and sympathize with all the characters . Definitely will recommend now I can’t wait to see the movie . ... show more

  • Colleen’s a great writer, a great book !
Format: Paperback
This book was a really good one. After hearing so much about it and knowing that a movie is coming out soon, i had to grab it ! The story starts off strong with going straight into her life after the fact. Without saying too much, i also love that the book never felt dragging.. like it was carrying it on to just make a complete full paged book. The “good parts” were carried on a little lol, but that’s only because of the tensions rising and the feelings of resentment and shame possibly there so i get it. but i recommend this book ! Colleen Hoover did NOT disappoint. I’ll definitely be getting more books from her. ... show more

  • An amazing read, i couldn’t put the book down!
Format: Paperback
Reminders of Him is a deeply emotional story about guilt, love, forgiveness, and what it really means to deserve a second chance. Colleen Hoover doesn’t just tell a romance — she tells a story about a mother trying to rebuild her life from the ashes of her worst mistake. Kenna Rowan is not your typical heroine. She’s flawed, judged, and carrying the weight of a past that cost her everything — especially her daughter. Watching her return to a town that hates her and fight quietly, humbly, and relentlessly just to be near her child is both heartbreaking and powerful. Hoover captures that specific kind of pain — the ache of loving someone you aren’t allowed to hold — with such raw honesty it almost feels intrusive to read. Ledger is the emotional anchor of the story. His connection with Kenna grows from empathy, not fantasy, which makes their relationship feel real and earned. Their love isn’t flashy or dramatic; it’s careful, complicated, and rooted in understanding each other’s broken parts. What makes this book stand out is that the conflict isn’t built on petty misunderstandings — it’s built on consequences. Real ones. The story asks hard questions: Can someone be more than their worst decision? Can forgiveness exist without forgetting? Who gets to decide when someone has suffered enough? Hoover’s writing is simple but emotionally sharp. She doesn’t overcomplicate the prose, which makes the feelings hit harder. The grief, longing, and hope sit heavy in your chest the entire time. And yet, there’s a quiet thread of healing woven through it that keeps the story from feeling hopeless. This isn’t just a love story — it’s a redemption story. It’s about the kind of love that doesn’t erase the past but still chooses to believe in a future. Final Thoughts: Beautiful, painful, and ultimately hopeful. Reminders of Him is for anyone who believes people are more than their worst mistakes — and that love, in the right hands, can be a place to start over. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more
