I bought this bin to hold dry dog food. The plastic is very sturdy, and the cover has a sturdy hinged lid which makes it very convenient to dip in to get the food. A bag of 34 lbs large kibble barely fit. The lid does not secure-which did not work when we are trying to keep racoons out.

We recycle and this container goes under desk area in kitchen. It collects cans and plastic bottles so there is less litter on countertop . Win Win
