I am a huge Raybans fan so this end off a bit biased, however, let me give my take on this before you judge. In my collection I currently have a classic Wayfarer, 2 aviators in different lenses, and my first pair which I pretty much just use in my car when I drive. When I first got them, I was surprised by how much lighter it weighed compared to my other pairs. It is a bit too big for my face, and sometimes does fall off when I am moving around a lot, but because it is lighter, I actually do feel that it sits better than the metal aviators. I love the azure blue lens too, because it spices up any outfit I'm wearing. I find that there is a slight brownish tint when I look through them, and that was mainly what I disliked most about it. Update: I sold them off because it is too big. Also, the lack of grippy rubber nosepads meant that they slid off my face more often than not. But then again, I do have a smaller nose bridge typical of Asians. ... show more

The Cats series was hot fashion back in the 1980s and many frames from that series are now timeless classics such these aviators. Of course the origins of the aviator go much further back than the '80s. These frames are oversized so you have to be ok with that look or feel that a larger frame fits with your own proportions. The acetate frames can be adjusted by eyeware professionals and are one piece unlike wire frame aviators. The Light Havana color is a mock tortoise shell and looks good by itself and very good against warmer skin tones. I cannot comment on the lens characteristics here as I have prescription lenses installed in my pair. Want to be one of the "Boys of Summer?" Christen yourself with a pair of these! ... show more
