This Murphy bed arrived with instructions claiming it was a four-person job, a four-man lift, and a one-hour assembly. That sentence alone tells me everything I need to know about who wrote it. The “four-person job” warning was almost certainly drafted by a government employee, someone who has never built anything, lifted anything, or contributed meaningfully to society. A person whose full-time occupation is converting taxpayer dollars into meetings, inefficiency, and handouts to union workers—while drinking weak coffee and ignoring actual problems. Let’s discuss man-hours, because math does not care about feelings. Four people for one hour equals four man-hours. I assembled this myself in three hours, including sorting parts that were mislabeled, unlabeled, or labeled incorrectly out of spite. One real man, three hours. That is fewer equivalent man-hours than the instructions claim. If four real men were present, this would take 45 minutes or less, including a break to silently judge the instructions. One man can do this in less equivalent time than four people. This is not complicated. This is arithmetic. You could do it while enjoying a proper steak or a glass of whiskey. I did not use the included hand tools. Any self-respecting man owns his own tools, especially power tools, and does not rely on the cheap, sad instruments tossed into flat-pack furniture boxes. Those toys exist only to lower expectations and extend suffering. Power tools exist to get work done. If your tools are made of plastic and disappointment, you are doing it wrong. The instructions are unclear on orientation, but basic spatial awareness and a refusal to quit solved the problem. The parts are cheaply made in China and do not always align. Several pre-drilled holes required additional clearing, because precision was apparently optional at the factory. Some parts were mislabeled, others not labeled at all. This added a puzzle element for people who enjoy overcoming obstacles created by strangers who do not care. Note: the measurements for the couch cushion supports are in centimeters, not inches, because someone at the factory enjoys making you do extra math or searching for a metric ruler that won’t exist in any self respecting country that uses a real measurement system. The hardware bags are grouped with no logic whatsoever. Four bags are required for one step, yet those same four bags contain parts for entirely different steps later. There is no system. There is only chaos. I respect chaos more when it is honest. Chaos in the kitchen is acceptable. Chaos in instructions is not. One felt piece was dramatically oversized. Measuring, it seems, is still an aspirational skill. Despite this, once assembled, the bed is sturdy, functional, and does exactly what a bed should do: exist and not collapse. China believes it could win a war against the United States, yet it cannot consistently manufacture flat-pack furniture that fits together without manual correction. This fact brings me comfort. The odds of them running a country properly are just as low. In conclusion, this is a straightforward project. It only becomes a “complicated puzzle” if you are an inferior individual. One competent man is sufficient. Be a man. Assemble it yourself. The bed works just fine once you establish dominance.

I want to love this piece and in a lot of ways we do. But once completed the couch did not come with enough slats to comfortable seat cushions on so we had to add more. The ones they sent made it where they were more than 4 inches apart so you could feel the slats when you sat down. We added quite a few to make it more comfortable. Additionally the back cushions are completely the wrong size so they will not lay flat making it impossible to enjoy sitting on the couch at all. I have messaged the seller waiting a response. Will update my review if I get a resolution to this issue. Otherwise the bed functions as it should and looks nice in our space. Update 1/12/26 contacted customer service they got back to me pretty quickly and offered to send replacement cushions. They were very nice. I’ll update when I receive the cushions. Hopefully they will fit because like I said otherwise we really like this Murphy bed combo.

Not suitable for adult over 150 pounds. Cracked the first time it was used. Husband had to modify it several ways: 1) reinforce broken frame that cracked immediately where it was weakened by drilled hole; 2) install 2 locks to ensure the bed wouldn’t fall down when in the up position; 3) build two reinforcements to prevent sagging/breaking when in down position. Even with reinforcements we will only use this for grandchildren now.

Instructions were incorrect and also there were a lot of holes there were wrong and had to be redrilled which really increased the time it took to assemble it. Also one of the back cushions was too long. I had to remove the cover and cut the foam. It looks great and works well.

It comes in multiple pieces. You will need assistance putting it together and alot of patience. There are pictures and videos that show some people putting one together step by step that was very helpful but could use more instructions. Very difficult. Not an easy build but we did it

After 3 days of putting it together, it is very nice. Was a little disappointed that the couch is so low to the floor but the grandson will love having his own couch. All in all ot was a good value for the price.
