  • So Cool It Opens Up Another World
Color: XQ35 Pro
Well what can I say, this thermal monocular is completely wild. It takes some getting used to the buttons, especially in the dark. It does also require a bit of frequent clearing in semi-auto mode as the pixelation becomes stale after a few minutes of viewing, but it clears right away. The battery lasts for a very long time. Now for the really cool part. Aside from watching deer traverse through the trees at night, you can also see Unidentified Flying Objects both at night and during the day, that are not visible to the naked eye, even with a blued night sky. That in itself makes this one of the coolest toys I have purchased. You can even snap pics or record your video for playback later. ... show more

  • Useful for locating owls
Color: XQ35 Pro
I bought this scope for birding with the sole purpose of locating owls, and I'm extremely happy with the purchase. If you're looking to use it for the same purpose, understand that it does have some prety big limitations as during daylight hours it's only really useful on days with overcast skies and also works the absolute best during colder weather, and it can struggle with dense trees but if you're persistent it will definitely help. Despite the limitations though it has helped me find several owls that I would not have found without it! ... show more

  • It’s ok but not great …..
Color: XQ35 Pro
So I bought the XQ35 pro and it is ok but not that great. I have several other thermals and played with many more and this one is on the lower end of the grading scale. Last night (11/12) I was at the ranch in S. Texas and I had the opportunity to use it on several pigs at night. Compared to my AGM clip on thermal it was night and day differences on the detail and pixilation. The AGM blew the Pulsar out of the water. The range finding capability is nice but you really can’t tell the difference between a cactus or a small pig. The unit really lacks detail. The Pulsar and the AGM are both 384x288 and even though they are both same strength the AGM just seems like it has so much more detail. And yes I bought this unit from Amazon. ... show more

  • Not as good as other Pulsar items I’ve used.
Color: XQ35 Pro
Fair for price with the built in rangefinder. It’s good enough to ID rabbits at 200 yards, coyotes and foxes at 350 and deer at 500 Can pick up thermal spot but not ID at about 200 yards further each. Rangefinder works out to 850. The clarity and image “smoothness” while looking around is nowhere near as good as the rifle scope of the same series, so that was disappointing. (It’s image quality is very, very far below a 50mm Pulsar I have too). It’s like either the processor speed or screen refresh rate is half of what it should be. There’s no way to change the rangefinder reticle color (that I’ve found yet) It’s red, so you can’t see it when using the red color scheme. However, for night hunting, it blows away gen 3 PVS type or digital night vision, if you use a handheld unit to scan and range fields. And it might be cheaper. ... show more

  • Pulsar Axion
Color: XQ35 Pro
Great budget scanner. The 384 quality is to be expected, good enough to identify out to about 350 yards on a good night. Battery life is great, range finder is a must and very accurate.

  • Great Monocular!
These are made in Lithuania and Pulsar delivers great image quality. There is some pixelation at higher magnification, as expected, but detection is all you're really after at long range anyway. Cove Creek Outfitters is an awesome company and are only a little over an hour away from me. If I knew they were the vendor I would have driven directly to their shop. You will be pleased! ... show more
