    • Absolutely Disappointed – Stick With a Rotary Tumbler
I really wanted to like the Tumble-Vibe rock polishing machine, but it’s been nothing but a frustrating experience. You’re honestly better off sticking with a good old-fashioned rotary tumbler. If you read the fine print (which I wish I had done before purchasing), you'll find a major flaw: you're only supposed to use one size grit in the bowl—ever. Why? Because the machine can retain traces of previous grits, even after cleaning. That explains why I could never get a proper polish in stage 4—grits from stages 1, 2, and 3 were still contaminating the process. Cleaning between stages is tedious and ineffective. The design makes it hard to fully remove all residue, and unfortunately, the rubber washer inside the bowl doesn’t hold up with repeated use. To make matters worse, the long threaded bolt rusted after just three uses. For a tool that works with water and grit, that’s just poor quality. I honestly can’t express how disappointed I am. It’s now useless to me, and I feel completely let down by the design and durability. Save your money and go with something more reliable. ... show more

Been running it several days/week on initial 36h grinds of 6.5lb loads of various sized rocks + 60/90 or 100/120 grit + ceramic media. No issues. Well, no issues other than being overrun with cleaned up basalt, quartz and jasper now :-) We'll see how well it keeps up after I pick out the best pieces and move on to finer grits. Replacement/additional bowls are super pricey. May as well buy an entire second unit instead of just the bowl. It's worth it if you are doing a lot of rock polishing. ... show more

Great buy, comes with grit and polish set. Clear lid makes checking tumbling easy. It is very loud but works very well. Instructions say to oil the rod so it doesn’t rust, I recommend oiling it! Can easily swap the load bowl for a UV10 thumblers bowl and lid. This increases capacity and quiets it down a lot. ... show more

I used the tumbler three times and it just quit working. It is a bit noisy. But the first two times I used it, it did an awesome job of polishing the rocks.
