  • Best blending pencils out there
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
The best blending pencils out there. Love the effect after laying down color with Prismacolor premium pencils. These blenders do a fantastic job leaving the project looking shiny and professional.

  • Great blender pencils for use with colored pencils
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I purchased these Colorless Blender Pencils to go with a set of Prismacolor's Scholar Colored Pencils as a separate purchase. I have played with them with the Scholar Colored Pencils, and some other pencils that I own, including a set of Oil-Based pencils. In all cases, I was pleased with the way that the Colorless Blenders blended the colors with one exception. In every type pencil I had at hand, the yellow was obscured by the green or orange bordering it. That may, however, be a function of my own lack of familiarity with the blenders. I have used tortillions more for blending color in the past. This two pencil set comes unsharpened, but sharpened in a standard pencil sharpener that I had on hand - a manual one, at that. The pencils come packaged in a blister pack as shown in the listing, and were sent in a larger box with some other items. PROS: Exactly as advertised 2 in the set arrived on time no breakage blend colors well work for a variety of pencils Belatedly, I realized that there was a video on the listing that shows you how to use these. I strongly advise that you watch it (unlike me - wish I had noticed that earlier!) CONS: None really CONCLUSION: I can easily see myself using these up and wanting more. The price on this listing was comparable to others, but this one is a Prime listing, meaning I got it quickly and feel very secure about purchasing through Prime. • Great for Smoothing Out Colors, Even for a Novice
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I have very limited experience with colored pencils, but I do have a set of Prismacolor pencils that I use for highlights and shading over Copic markers. Someone suggested I might want to try a blender pencil, and after one afternoon, I’m already in love with these! Smooths out lines and blends my shading together, and works really well over the Copic base. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great choice for finishing off without the extra layers
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Great for filling in those hard to blend gaps that you vac don’t want to add anymore layers to throw off your shading

  • Great Blending Tool For Soft Core Prismacolor Pencils!
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
People who have Prismacolor Soft Core pencils know how well they blend because of their buttery wax. Commonly what people use to do such blending is use the colors themselves. This works, but is limited in a sense because blending with pencils tends to leave more of their color where you have blended the color to lightening or darkening something more than you may want and you have to keep working it back and forth until it looks right. The Colorless blender pencil is the solution to that! Just put your colors down and overlap them how you'd normally start your blending, then use this to finish the job without altering the shades you created because it's colorless. Well... the wax looks like a cloudy white, but it doesn't show on paper. Basically you can use this to slide color back and forth until you get something you want without having to add or subtract color (Unless you didn't put enough on to begin with of course. But you get a feel for that as you use your pencils more.). I wouldn't say it moves color around and fills color in as well as it does on that little packaging infographic so it's a tad misleading in that regard, but it can move it far enough to create smooth gradient transitions if the color is on thick enough and does a great job where you overlap color layers because you just have to "stir" them together. Also don't forget that the more you blend using anything, the "smoother" it'll look. So you might want to practice with this before putting it to use on an actual artpiece you're working on so you can use it when you know it's best to use it and make things come out exactly as you want them to. ... show more

  • Good to have
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I don't need to use these with Prismacolor pencils too often because Prismacolor pencils already smoosh into paper and blend themselves practically, but I enjoy do having these on hand because I like to use a blender with some more budget brand colored pencils I still use often. They work wonderfully. ... show more
